Narcotics Unit:
The Narcotics Unit is responsible for the enforcement of those
applicable laws pertaining to narcotics and dangerous drugs on school property. The Unit also gathers and disseminates pertinent
information concerning narcotics to officers within the DeKalb School System Police Department..
The Narcotics Unit
aggressively works toward the reduction of drug use and possession within the
school system. The unit's mission includes the investigation of all
narcotics related offenses; the investigation of narcotics
violations with the assistance of the administration in the affected school; and gathering and dissemination of pertinent narcotic intelligence to
School Resource Officers. The unit, in keeping with the goals of the DeKalb School System Police Department, conduct frequent initiatives to remove drug dealers from schools and improve the quality of education for students.
