        Wings tie 2-2 -
After giving Detroit the lead on
a turnover that resulted with a
Tomas Holmstrom goal. The Stars forced a 2-2 tie that held in through
overtime Moday. Wings scored the first goal with a Pavel Datsyuk goal.
Datsyuk recived a great pass from Fischer, and Datsyuk ripped it and it
went right through the five-hole of Dallas Stars goaltender Marty Turco.
Dallas almost resonded almost immediately as David Oliver scored, which
was assisted from Jason Arnott. Dallas held the 1-1 tie all the way through
the second period, untill Red Wing's Tomas Holmstrom popped one in the
Stars net just three minutes into the third. Detroit who now has a 2-1
advantage over Dallas played pretty well untill Teppo Numminen forced
the 2-2 tie which led to overtime. Marty Turco was amazing in overtime
as he stopped five scoring chances, as Dallas only had one in overtime.
Detroit put Manny Legace up as their netminder in this game. Curtis Joseph
is 1-4-1 with a 3.11 GAA in his last six games. Manny Legace has played
well in the last two months but has made just seven starts, winning four
times and allowing more than two goals just twice. Marty Turco turned
away 26 shots from the Wings and Manny Legace blocked 29 shots from the
Stars. Dallas is now 23 wins 20 losses and 9 ties and 55 points. Stars
next opponent is the Ottawa Senators. The Senators previously played the
Rangers which resulted in a devastating 9-1 victory. Senators record is
27 wins 12 losses 7 ties and three overtime losses -NHL NEWS- Well the
Rangers came back from that 9-1 defeat by Ottawa on Saturday. They held
