Dallas,
now unbeaten in 15 straight season home games against
the Edmonton Oilers, and will try to continue racing
toward to first place of the Pacific Division.
when they fell to the .500 mark 17-17-6-0 including
a 6-0 loss to the Phoenix Coyotes on Jan. 2nd, Dallas
has now went 14-5-5 and moved into fifth place in
the Western Conference. The San Jose Sharks have been
leading the Pacific most of this season, Dallas has
climbed up within six points of the Sharks. Dallas
plans to play the San Jose Sharks in two home games,
which includes Sun, Mar 7 3:00PM, and Tue, Mar 16
7:30PM
Dallas has not yet played Edmonton at home this
season. However they did play them in a away game,
the Stars where smother 3-0.
Dallas is comming to play this game with some momentum,
as the Stars swamped the Wild at home. Goals from
Stu Barnes and Bill Guerin in the third period helped
the Stars top the Wild 3-1. Marty Turco who turned
away 18 shots but saw a total of 19, the only shot
that went past him was by Wild's Brunette.
Stars captian Mike Modano was back in the Stars
lineup, missing the final two periods in Wednesday
night's 1-1 tie against the Los Angeles Kings, which
was caused to a strained groin. Left wing Shayne
Corson, 17-year veteran, will most likely see his
first action today since coming out of retirement
late this month to sign with Dallas.
The Edmonton Oilers are coming off a huge win that
took place in Phoenix.
Moreau scored twice to give Edmonton's franchise-record
five goals in a 5:38 span to lead the Oilers to
victory over the cooked Coyotes 7-2.
