Blue Jackets defeated 4-2-
Bill Guerin posted his 30th and took the pressure off Dallas Stars backup goaltender Ron Tugnutt and registerd his 7th game winner of the season.
This was Bill Guerins third three-goal game of the season and Tugnutt turned away 15 shots in a late start as the Stars roll their home unbeaten streak to 12 games with a 4-2 victory on Wednesday night over the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Tugnutt was playing in his first game since Jan. 2, which is over a month.

Dallas has stretched to 8-0-4 in its last 12 home games, which is the NHL's longest current streak.

Tugnutt, who was acquired from the Columbus Blue Jackets in a trade in June 2002, was slowed down by a knee injury this season.

Already, Turco has tied the franchise record for minutes in a season 3,689 set by Ed Belfour in 2000-2001, Dave Tippett wants Turco to get some rest before the playoffs.

Stu Barnes scored tie the game at one in the second period, and Jason Arnott had three assists for the Stars.

Jacket's Rick Nash scored his 36th goal of the season, both where held on a power play, and Columbus goaltender Denis blocked 32 shots.

Columbus accomplishment on their first power play of the game at 14:16 of the first period. The puck slipped off the stick of Dallas Stars defenseman Philippe Boucher and went over to Nash, who beat Tugnutt.

Guerin tied it at up with 23.7 seconds left in the begining period on a slow shot from the right circle.

Stu Barnes gave Dallas a 2-1 lead at 5:29 of the second period from a turnover by Blue Jackets defenseman Aaron Johnson. Stas Rob DiMaio took control of the puck, and made a nifty pass to Barnes, who scored his 10th goal of the season.

Guerin extended Dallas lead to 3-1 at the 10:33 mark of the second, then posted his sixth career hat trick with 19:35 remaining.

Nash scored his second of the game with 2:05 left in regulation. Dallas will take on the Calgary Flames next on Friday March 5th.

The Flames recently lost to the Detroit Red Wings by a 2-1 score.

Jarome Iginla had the only Calgary goal, and Roman Turek made a total of 20 saves but saw 22 shots.

Zetterberg broke a scoreless tie with a power-play goal in the second period.

Red Wings goalie Manny Legace stopped 28 shots and played a great game.

Also the San Jose Sharks have streached into the Western Conference, and are now the Second seed. Colorado is 3rd, Vancouver 4th and Dallas 5th. Dallas is six points behind of San Jose, but the Stars are closing in on them
