Chapter Six Dance, Dance Revolution Greg ran far away. He didn't want to talk to any girls, except Amanda. "Manda," he whispered. How am I going to get you back? he asked himself, as he turned at the coner. His eyes watered. Thinking of Amanda made him hurt. Sure she had been seen with another guy, but why did he have to yell at her? Now her heart was broken, and it was all his fault. "It's all my fault, it's all my fault!" cried Amanda as she pounded on her bed. WHY? WHY? Why? she asked herself. Why had she screamed at Greg? FLASH BACK: "Let's have a contest, whoever wins, is the champion," challenged Greg. "Bring It on, you will kneel before me soon," Amanda shot back. "Wanna bet?" "Yeah, I do. Five bucks to winner." "Fine, then." Greg and Amanda slid in two dollars into the slot of Dance,Dance, Revolution. They stared at each other for awhile before they pressed Normal. "Ready to lose Greg?" Amanda asked as the game was about to start. "No, it's Ready to lose Amanda!" Greg retorted. The game began. End of Flashback "Greg," she whispered into the darkness. She awoke up around 12:00 and she was deeply bored. Amanda couldn't sleep, so she changed into some jeans and a tank top. Then she sliped a sweater o and left the house. She wondered into the darkness, passing diffrent places until she spotted an arcade. She wasn't a big arcade fan but something urged her to go in. Amanda wondered into the arcade. Something was so familar about the arcarde. Then Amanda spotted a game. A game which she hadn't seen in a long time. Dance, Dance Revolution USA. Not too far away Greg was walking alone in the darkness. Ring, ring went Greg's cell phone. "Hello?" he asked. "Greg where are you? Are you okay?" a frantic voice asked him. "I'm fine mom, I just, feel like taking a walk." "At 1:00 A.M. in the morning? It's dangerous Greg!" "I'll be fine, I swear. I'm going over to Chris's house later. Okay?" "I guess. Next time you call!" Greg wondered into the darkness, walking across streets. There was few people, but they looked freaky, so Greg avoided them. He walked by an arcade, which seemed so familar, but Greg didn't understand why. It was like he knew the arcade by heart. Curious Greg went in and looked around. Only some teenagers where there and they gathered around one game. "Yo Greg!" a voice called. Greg turned around to see Chris, Jesse, and Matt. "What are you doing here? I thought yo were comin over tonight." Chris asked Greg. "I was, I was- well, never mind. What are you guys doing?" "We couldn't sleep because someone here, was too hyper," Jesse said pointing to Matt. "Hey, is it my fault, you guys spent two hours doing your homework, when I already finished!! You know how boring it was? I mean, they just sat there doing homework, and there's nothin on t.v!" "Go,go,go! Go girl, go!" teenagers yelled. "What the hec is going on there?" Matt asked annoyed at the yelling and noise. He joined the group, and after awhile he started to yell. The three other shrugged and pushed their way through the teenagers. What Greg saw, made his smile. There was Amanda playing Dance, Dance Revolution double. Her jeans were rolled up, and her shoes pounded on the buttons. It was like a memory to Greg. He remembered the day he first saw Amanda doing the same thing. Slowly he went up to her, as the game ended and said, "Let's have a contest, whoever wins is the champion." Amanda surprised smiled at Greg, then tried to look serious. "Bring it on, you will kneel before me soon." "Wanna bet Amanda?" "Yeah, loser takes winner to dinner and movie tomorrow." They smiled at each other and hugged. Then Amanda pushed Greg away, and started the game. The game began or should I say a new realationship had began. THE END! |
