 3019 ELESSAR, First King of the Reunited Kingdom of Arnor and Gondor , d. FA 120 Aragorn II, Chieftan of the Dúnedain of the North, is crowned King of both Arnor and Gondor, taking the name Elessar. On Mid-year's Day he marries Arwen, daughter of Elrond.

Faramir, First Prince of Ithilien, Steward of Gondor, b. TA 2983, d. FA 83.

Denethor II takes his own life during the seige of Minas Tirith. Boromir, his elder son is slain when the Fellowship of the Ring are attacked at Parth Galen.

Éomer, Eighteenth King of Rohan, b. TA 2991, d. FA 63 The Lord of the Nazgûl slays Théoden in the Battle of the Pelennor Field before the gate of Minas Tirith.

Thorin III Stonehelm, King of Durin's Folk, King Under the Mountain, b. TA 2866

Bard II, King of Dale Both Kings Dáin II Ironfoot and Brand fall before the gates of Erebor.

3020 Prince Faramir of Ithilien marries Éowyn, sister of King Éomer of Rohan.

 3021 The Keepers of the Three Rings (Elrond, Galadriel, and Mithrandir), accompanied by the Bearers of the One (Bilbo and Frodo Baggins) sail into the West.

 End of the Third Age.

 Years of the Fourth Age ...

1 King Éomer of Rohan marries Lothíriel, fourth and youngest child of Prince Imrahil of Dol Amroth.

6 Samwise Gamgee elected Mayor of the Shire. He holds the office until FA 55.

Peregrin Took marries Diamond of Long Cleave.

Elessar issues a decree forbidding Men from entering the Shire. He places the Shire under the protection of the Northern Kingdom.

11 Meriadoc Brandybuck becomes Master of Buckland.

13 Peregrin I, Thirty-second Thain of the Shire, b. TA 2990 Twentieth Thain of the Took line.

Elessar appoints the Thain, the Mayor of the Shire, and the Master of Buckland to be Counsellors of the Northern Kingdom.

15 Elessar and Arwen ride north, and dwell for a while on the shores of Nenuial.

21 Mayor Samwise accompanied by his wife Rose and daughter Elanor visit Gondor for a year. Tolman Cotton acts as deputy Mayor.

31 Elessar issues a decree adding the Westmarch (the region between the Far Downs and the Emyn Beraid) to the Shire.

61 Samwise Gamgee sails over the Sea.

63 Elfwine the Fair, Ninteenth King of Rohan

Faramir I, Thirty-third Thain of the Shire, b. FA 9 Twenty-first Thain of the Took line. Thain Peregrin Took and Master Meriadoc Brandybuck resign their offices and ride south. They visit King Éomer in Edoras, before his death. They then ride on to Minas Tirith, where they spend their last years.
