David's Model Page

Hi there, I'm David and welcome to my model page. My modeling interests vary from time to time, at the moment I'm more into building 60's and 70's muscle cars. I'm based in Adelaide, South Australia so I hope I can give you a bit of a slant on modeling from down under. I've been building models since my teens, but for competion's since about 1985, thats when i started to get a bit serious. The problem for aussie modelers is that aftermarket parts and accessories can be hard to get and, or expensive, plus the lower value of the aussie dollar against the US dollar hasnt made it any easier. For example, would you believe that an issue of the US magazine "Scale Auto Enthusiast" is priced at about $16 australian as of November 2000. Most US kits are priced in the $20 to $25 region, yet the Monogram "Pro Modeler" series can be up to about $45 per kit. Even so im not going to stop building models, its a great hobby and a lot less expensive than building up a real car, although thats something I'd love to do.

Thank you for visiting my web page, and please take the time to view my gallery. I hope you enjoyed your visit.

I'd also like to thank Tony for taking the pictures, and Steve for the use of his digital camera and my son, Brendan for helping set up this web page. Without your help this page wouldnt be happening....thanks again guys.
