Roland Deschain(Roland or Gilead)
Roland is the last gunslinger of his world. He is searching for the ominous Dark Tower at the will of ka.
John Chambers(Jake)
Jake died in his world and found himself in The Waystation, deadly afraid of the man in black as he passes by. Soon after Roland comes along and Jake hoins is ka-tet
Brown(Member of the Manni)
Brown invited Roland into his hovvle for the night and ate supper with him. He listened at the gunslinger told of the incident in Tull.
Marten Broadcloak(Marten)
Marten seduced Roland's mother and coaxed him into an early test of manhood that he was sure Roland would fail. However, Roland passes this test and became a Gunslinger. Unknown to Steven, Marten is also John Farson, the enemy of Gilead and the Affiliation.
Cort
Cort was Roland's teacher in Gilead. Roland faced him in open battle for his final test and won. Nine weeks after Roland's graduation Cort dies of suspicious poisoning.
Alice(Allie)
Barkeeper in Tull. Roland stays with her and shares a bit of sentimentality. She tells that the man in black had passed through the city and revived a dead man.
Cuthbert Allgood(Cuthbert)
Cuthbert had been Roland's closest friend in youth. He was a very joking kind of guy who often masked his feelings with jokes.
David the falcon(David)
Roland uses the falcon David to beat Cort in his final test, shortly after the battle David dies of sustained injuries.
Gabrielle Deschain(Roland's mother)
Roland's mother who cheated on his father for Marten Broadcloak. In the end she is killed when Roland is tricked by the Wizard's glass.
Hax
Roland and Cuthbert find that Hax had formed and allegience with Farson and planned to poison the town of Taunton. They tell their fathers and Hax is sentanced to hanging.
Walter O'Dim(The Man in Black)
Walter is from Rolands past, he is the one Roland has been chasing unknowing his true identity.
Susan Delgado(Susan)
Susan was Roland's first love. She was promised to wed Mayor Thorin but chose Roland. She was burned at a Charyou Tree on Reap Night.
Aileen Ritter(Aileen)
Aileen was Roland's second true love.
Zoltan the raven(Zoltan)
Brown's pet raven who can speak, but often negitivly until Roland comes along.
