Toronto Ghost Signs

Duratile Tileboard, Sorauren Avenue

This sign is only visible from the nearby Dundas Street bridge (over the railroad tracks). Duratile Tileboard was manufactured by Durabilt, who were at 345 Sorauren from 1947 to 1974. This is one of the last of the signs that was best viewed from the railroad tracks, back when most people travelled longer distances by train.

On your right, you can see our old friend, the sign for Watson's Linseed Lozenges. Try one. You know you want to.
