This sign can be precisely dated, as the Burnett brothers, Horace L. and Alfred A., were at 318 Danforth and 1322 Danforth in 1917. This sign was on a wall near the 1322 Danforth location; Danforth Avenue was renumbered in 1923, and this building is now 2170 Danforth. The sign has been preserved for this long because it faces east; there are signs on the other side of this building, but they have faded into illegibility. |
