DT: When and why the band was formed?.
E:
I approached JOHN SCAGLINE a few years ago about getting another older styled Death Metal band formed back up ,we've known each other for a long time and had similar tastes in music. We hashed out a bunch of riffs into a few songs that needed tweeking on. Buy the time we had enough material for a couple of songs I recruited JARED and SHARON, things have been pretty solid since. Over the last 6 months or so, JOHN had relocated to a different state and was going to have a hard time of his schedule to still work w/ the band, so it was a mutual agreement that we had to get another guitarist to fill the position. Our new guitarist JOHN GASPERIN is our new guitar player. He has been a big help w/ everything from writing new material to formating our website. Hailz to the GASS-MAN!

DT:
Why the name of EVISCIUM?.
E:
I wanted to have something that wasnt a typical band name, I made the word up to have something a little original that would stick in peoples heads. It's so hard to come up w/ an orginal name nowe every cool word in the book has been taken. I also made the word up in order for it not to be taken by another band. We were orginally going to go with SLAYER... but I heard that name was taken..hah

DT:
What topics do you consider in your lyrics?.
E:
We try to write the lyrics in the doomy dismal style, staying away from the outright gore and black metal content. More along the lines of a horror novel or tragic events.

DT: Are you into Serial Killers? Do you know ED GEIN, TD BUNDY, ALBERT FISH, RICHARD RAMIREZ, HENRY LEE LUCAS and MARIO POGGI?.
E:
No I'm not really what you call " INTO" , but more fascinated w/ stories of the morbid tales. What makes the serial mind click..? ya know.

DT:
Your fave bands?.
E:
My faves would have to come from the early 90's like DEMILICH, NIHILIST, MACRODEX, RIPPIKOULU, NIRVANA 2002, MACABRE END, ABORRENCE, CARNAGE, DISEMBOWELMENT, DEAD.. .. plus alot of bands today I like are FUNEBRARUM, PAGANIZER, BLOODBATH, SANINTYS DAWN.

DT:
Do you believe in SANTA CLAUS?.
E:
Hmmmm, well my kids may say yes to that one. But for every St. Patricks day, all year long I raise leprochauns and sell them to the local Irish pubs for soup.

DT: Do you believe in Communism like a positive change in this world?.
E:
WHY CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG...damn it.

DT: What do you know about South American Underground Scene?.
E:
All of you mother fuckers are crazy..hah.. yeh the S.A. scene sounds likes it's kicking ass down there, maybe we'll come there for a tour some time.

DT:
What can you tell me about Skaters?.
E:
I've heard they taste like chicken , and they are better stirred... not shaken.

DT:
Do you like bands like D.R.I. & AGNOSTIC FRONT?.
E:
Yeah I used to like a little Crossover HC bands like them. I was always more into the very heavy guitar low end crushing Death Metal, stuff w/ alot of time changes and heavy chunk parts.

DT:
STAR WARS or STAR TREK?.
E:
Star wars

DT:
Your fave Horror Movies from all times?.
E:
EXORCIST , EVIL DEAD (trio), PHANTASM, HALLOWEEN.

DT: Do you know ALBERTO FUJIMORI?.
E:
No I dont ..sorry.

DT:
What can you tell me about OSAMA BIN LADEN?.
E:
He is a very evil man, and hopefully the military forces will bury him in about 10,000 tons of rock and the rest of his Alquida rat invested terrorist network.

DT:
Do you prefer JACK DANIELS or 7 RAICES?.
E:
JACK.. I prefer Canadian whiskey to be honest w/ you. But I like dark beer most of all.. MICHELOBE AMBER BACH kicks ass!!??

DT:
What do you think about FLORCITA POLO DIAZ and LINDA BLAIR?.
E:
LINDA BLAIR used to be a HPOA in her younger days , she played part in one of the greatest horror flix of all time. I dont think her perfomance in that movie could be duplicated today.

DT: What do you think about CINDERELLA, POISON and BON JOVI?.
E:
I'm not sure to answer that.. I guess they give the poser hating bands somone to make fun of.

DT:
Do you believe in extra-terrestrials? …experiences with UFOS?.
E:
I personally have 3 balls.. so I believe in them , I've never had a UFO experience, but I have had a seance w/ BIGFOOT, YETI, and the LOCK NESS MONSTER in Atlantis while on a business trip with ELVIS.

DT:
Do you remember Magazines like PUTREFACTION and MORBID?.
E:
Yes I do , I've seen them years ago while in a local record store in Pittsburgh, in part they played a huge role in me getting involved w/ the underground.

DT:
Your best concerts?.
E:
When I was with ROTTREVORE we played a few really good shows.. Cleveland was always a good place for us, and also a fest in Rhode Island.

DT:
Are you into S&M?.
E:
No , but I love beating the hell out of the people that are..hah...is that wrong?

DT: Do you like GIGER's Art?.
E:
Yes I'm a huge fan of that style of monotone doomy art. I love the color schemes he uses. He is an inspiring artist for alot of Death Metal artists, myself included.

DT:
PC or MAC?...
E:
PC because I've never used a Mac , but I've heard their Graphics Programs are incredible to work with. After I make my first $1,000,000, I will probably buy one.

DT:
What can you talk me about your 2002 3 Song Demo Cassette format? is available?.
E:
This Demo was recorded in late 2002 and was originally going to be released on CD through STILLDEAD PRODUCIONS in Poland on CD format, but there was a delay in the timing. It was eventually released in addition to 3 other songs on the UNDERNEATH THE BURIED CD which is out now. We put the Demo out on cassette format during that delay in very limited quantity. It was remasted a bit before we added them to the CD.

DT:
Are you into PS2, GAMECUBE, X-BOX? or any VIDEO GAMES? Do you remember ATARI 2600? Games like COMBAT, BREAKOUT, PITFALL, DONKEY KONG, INDY 500, MISSILE COMMAND, SPACE INVADERS, do you remember this time?.
E:
Yes very well.. SPACE INVADERS was one of my all time fave video games, also GALAGA I was a semi master at..hah.

DT:
Tell us about your experience on the Cleveland Show 7/18/03.
E:
This was really our 1st show , it went very well w/ a good crowd response and a good turnout. This show helped alot for our early promotions of the band. We got to hang out w/ some cool people and old friends. We made alot of good contacts there.

DT:
Tell us about "UNDERNEATH THE BURIED" 6 song CD, (December 2003), on STILL DEAD PRODUCTIONS.
E:
The release of this CD was so over due to come out, but we are very pleased with the packaging that JULIUS of STILLDEAD did for us. We aren't very happy with the overall production of it though. It was recorded in 2 studio's. The first was a friend of mine who agreed to help out, these are the last 3 songs on the CD. The 1st 3 songs on the CD was a studio nightmare. But it's all over and done with and we cant change the past. Someday we'll re-mix and master it all though. Right now we want to concentrate on the near future, a split cd is in the works w/ EVISCIUM and FUNEBRARUM.

DT:
What do you think about ANTON SZANDOR LA VEY, VINCENT CROWLEY, PHIL ANSELMO, KOJAK, "MARVELOUS" MARVIN HAGLER, GEORGE FOREMAN and JESSE PINTADO?.
E:
I don't have any opinion towards any satanic stuff, KOJAK was a great old show, MARVIN HAGLER, JESSE P. , and GEORGE FORMAN were all at the top of their boxing game , by the way that reminds me , I have to pick up one of GEORGE's cooking grills, I've heard boneless chicken breast cooked in them are to die for..mmmm.

DT:
You´re future plans?.
E:
To concentrate on the Split CD, work on new material with our new guitarist, and play some shows locally and out of state.??

DT:
