Interview for DEATHTHRASHER MAGAZINE by ARMANDO MUTILATOR : 

DT: Hi Elin, how are you?
Devilqueen : Hi Armando, I'm fine thank you.

DT: Please talk me about your musical influences.
Devilqueen : All my life I have allways liked to sing, and my first big idol was Madonna. I have allways liked her music and I still do. My dream was to join a band, and I got the oppertunety when a friend of my twisted sister needed a singer for his band called Demonoid. Didn`t really like metalmusic then,but as I grew into the new band Miasma Paradox, the music got more like rock. And now as I join my third band Ancestral Legacy, I must say that I like metalmusic more and more. I am getting inspired of Nightwish, Lacuna Coil, Lullacry and Evanescence.

DT: How does the writing on ANCESTRAL LEGACY? How about lyrics?.
Devilqueen : All the bandmembers are doing their part of the job. Eddie the guitarist is the most creative mind at music and lyrics, but we all contribute. I have written one lyric, called Crash Of Silence.

DT: Please describe your stage performance. What songs do you play on stage and do you play any cover songs?.
Devilqueen : We haven`t performed to many concerts /gigs yet, but the songs at the moment are Forsaken, The Last Goodbye Crash Of Silence and Emptiness. Coversongs: In The Beginning ( Amorphis ) and Enveloped ( Rapture ).

DT: Do you like AMORPHIS?.
Devilqueen : Yes I do, especially the song "In The Beginning"

DT: Tell me about MIASMA PARADOX.
Devilqueen : Miasma Paradox was founded june 1st 1999. We were five members, but unfotanately the line-up wasn`t steady enough to continue. We managed to record a demo though. twelve songs with rock and ballads.

DT: Ølin do you like beer?.
Devilqueen : Ølin loves cold beer!!!!!! - Heineken

DT: Your name is Elin or Ølin????.
Devilqueen : Both, Elin for real, Ølin among friends

DT: Ølin is a Norwegian beer!!!
Devilqueen: No, øl is the Norwegian word for beer.....

DT: HA HA HA!!!

DT: Tell us about your discography Ølin!!!
Devilqueen: Ancestral Legacy demo 2000, Emptiness demo 2002.
(And this is where I come in): Of Magic Illusions demo 2003, November demo EP 2003, Goodbye Reality promo 2004

DT: What do you think about Demo 2000, do you like it?.
Devilqueen: METAL! Yes, but it's a bit different than todays Ancestral Legacy, more Black Metal.

DT: What can you tell me about the Norwegian Black Metal Scene, and the burns of churches?
Devilqueen: It's brutal, like the Vikings, and it's all about the beer!

DT: Do you like MAYHEM?.
Devilqueen: Hellhammer? got the autograph though. I like Nightwish and Sonata Arctica

DT: What can you talk me about your "Emptiness" Demo 2002?
Devilqueen: It`s more like first one but Whispering Voices rules! A new version of the song Emptiness is at the November demo Ep 2003.

DT: Do you prefer THE GATHERING or LACUNA COIL?.
Devilqueen: Lacuna Coil! but I like The Gathering too ( Great Ocean Road and Travel

DT: "Of Magic Illusions" demo 2003 is your best gem?
Devilqueen: Forsaken and Crash Of Silence.

DT: What do you think about old Heavy Metal? do you like Heavy Metal from the 80's?
Devilqueen: Did I hear you say Ozzy??? Well, I kind of like New Heavy Metal

DT: Do you like soccer?.
Devilqueen: nooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WRC Petter Solberg!

DT: What can you talk me about your experience in "Atlantida - Vol 21" (CD Compilation)?.
Devilqueen: Ancestral Legacy contributed with an edit version of the track Separate worlds from the "Of magic illusions" demo. It is incorrectly written When sense dies on the tracklist though... Released November 2003.

DT: What do you think about dog fights? are you into American Pit Bulls?
Devilqueen: I hate it!!!!! I must ask why? why are they doing it? American Pit Bulls, no.... but their appearance are raw!

DT: Calm, calm!!!
Devilqueen: grrrrrroaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrr.................

DT: Ha ha ha ha ha!!!

DT: Talk me about your last production "Goodbye Reality" Promo 2004.
Devilqueen: We played a gig at "Kjellerrock" in Kristiansand, Norway. More than 20 band played over two days, and there was some prizes as well. We grabbed the first prize which was 10 hours free studio time, so we recorded a new demo in March. We won't get the final result until the mastering is done. Unfortunately we still haven`t got it.....Waiting, and waiting, and waiting.........
Armando? I really have to go to bed now.... tired night.

DT: Your future plans?.
Devilqueen: To get our music to as many people as possible, continue doing shows, and grow together as musicians, and people. Hoping for a record deal of course.
