Interview for DEATHTHRASHER MAGAZINE by ARMANDO MUTILATOR : 

DT: When, where and how the band was formed?- Current Line - up.
DXT: The band formed in 1998 in Belluno with a line-up quite different to the present one. We started playing covers then reached line-up stability we decide to compose original songs. After the recording of "Cyberhuman" we changed our drummer GIORGIO"PIT". Now the line up is : PONDRO (bass) , I (voice) , FABIO "MED" and LORENZO (guitars) and the new drummer THOMAS grunding the skins.

DT: Why the name of DELIRIUM X TREMENS?
DXT: I don't know why we chose this name. It was perchance when we started. Then it has gained more personal meanings and we decided not to change it.

DT: What topics do you trade in your songs?.
DXT: We talk about technology and its interaction with man. Usually our lyrics are written by Pondro and he is badly sick about this topics. Our songs are also about the alienation of man towards the machines and also about the mark that we all bear since we are born.

DT: What do you think about Punks & Skinheads?.
DXT: Honestly I don't know enough about Punk and Skin to talk about it.

DT: How do you describe your music?.
DXT: Aggressive and technological Death Metal hate !!!!!

DT: Are you satisfied with "CyberHuman"?.
DXT: Of course ,we have received many good reviews every where and this makes us proud, then our songs are very dynamic and listening to them is still engaging for us. Permaps now we would change something about the production , but on the whole we are truly satisfacted.

DT: Your musical productions?.
DXT: Our actual production fully satisfies us and our new songs are even more aggressive and intense and violent when we perform them live!

DT: Do you know bands like VII ARCANO, BESTIAL DEVASTATION, AGABUS, ANAL FOAM, NECROPHILISM and ATHANOR? tell me about each one!
DXT: Only VII ARCANO , really fucking great !!

DT: Your influences?.
DXT: Our influences are really many. Maybe the most evident are those of the Florida scene but in our background there's also the European Death Metal school and the old bay area Thrash.

DT: Are you into drugs?.
DXT: NO , ABSOLUTELY !

DT: What do you think about Satan?.
DXT: Satan is a miner

DT: Tell us about your friendship with VLAD from STIGMA, do you like STIGMA's "Metamorphosis" (MCD)?.
DXT: VLAD is a dear friend of ours and a great guy….He really cares a lot about his band and the underground scene. A really great person under every point of view…his band STIGMA are one of the best in the underground Italian scene!

DT: Do you believe in UFOS?... do you know SIXTO PAZ?.
DXT: Personally I believe in Ufo's…no unfortunately I don't know them.

DT: CADAVERIA or OPERA IX?.
DXT: CADAVERIA for her more modern approach , but I pay respect to OPERA IX.

DT: Do you remeber an Italian old Grinders, like ASS ASCHE?.
DXT: No , unfortunetely….

DT: Do you like drink "AYAWASKA" in your breakfast?.
DXT: Ayawaska ?!?!? I don't believe it exist in Italy… 

DT: Do you think in Anarchy like an alternative for a positive change in this society?.
DXT: We aim to total order

DT: Do you know bands like DICTATOR EYES, ENDLESS PAIN?.
DXT: Yes , in particular ENDLESS PAIN , truly great thrasher !

DT: Do you believe in God?, what do you think about Religion?.
DXT: God is a spaceman !!!!!

DT: Are you friends with NUDE?.
DXT: Friend with NUDE ?? what do you mean ?

DT: What do you know about Peruvian Scene?.
DXT: No , unfortunately I don't know any man but I've heard that is a very vital and dynamic scene

DT: Tell me about your friend ANGELO ROVEGNO ROVEGNO.
DXT: I don't know it…..sorry…

DT: Do you prefer NECRODEATH, or SCHIZO?.
DXT: SCHIZO , more technical and brutal !!

DT: Do you believe in SANTA CLAUS?.
DXT: Absolutely YES !!!!

DT: Do you like NODE?.
DXT: Yes and no , I don't like very much, but PONDRO absolutely does !

DT: What can you tell me about the scene in your country?.
DXT: The scene in Italy is very good and achive. Recently many bands are coming out , like DEFORGE,STIGMA,DYSTHIMYA, and then LIFEND and the great ENSOPH that I advise you to follow !!!

DT: Do you like LACUNA COIL?.
DXT: No comment , but I don't like this band !!

DT: Your future plans?.
DXT: During this period we have suspended live activity to work on new songs that are going to be published in our first full-length that we are going to record at MAJESTIC STUDIOS in February…then we will start the record promotion trying to play as much we gain.

DT: Your last comment for DEATHTHRASHER readers?.
