THIRD BRAKE LIGHT MOD [TBL]

This is an easy one and not expensive either.  You need to be aware that using this may get you a rejection if your  state requires annual or biannual inspection.

Here it is with brake light   on and off.  I like it both ways.

So now you want it right!

That's easy too.  Just send off an email to DOC member Rick Cherry a rcherry@fotofab.com and he'll give you all the details.  In August of 2001 it went for $12.00.

And if you want to see how to install, here's the scoop:

Receive the mod in the mail.  Of note, the dog hair you see in the picture did not come with it!
Remove the top portion of the tailgate liner.  It just pops off. Then use an 8mm socket to remove the two screws holding the TBL assembly
Stick the mod to the brake light with the 3M tape already on it.
Place a thin line of electrical tape around the edge if you want to keep the red light from shining around the edges.

Reattach the brake light assembly and pop the liner back on.  Voila - that's it!!
