A Saturday, July 19: Lanikai Beach
Meet at the park by Lanikai Canoe Club. From S. Kalaheo Ave in Kailua (which runs parallel to Kailua Bay beachfront) proceed east. Passing Kalapawai Market on the left, S. Kalaheo Ave changes to Kawailoa Rd. Continue across the drainage canal past Kailua Beach Park, turn left on Alala Rd. and proceed past the Kailua Beach Boat Ramp area entering Lanikai Community. Take the right fork in the road at Aalapapa Dr., and take the third turn to the left on Kaiolena Dr. past the Lanikai Community Park. The boat house is located in the park area, and the practice site is fronting the beach via the access path at the end of Kaiolena Dr.

Saturday, July 26: Kailua Beach Park
From Honolulu, take the Pali Highway (61) through the tunnels and down into Kailua Town. Pali Highway becomes Kailua Road just after Castle Hospital which will be on your left. Continue down Kailua Road. At the triangle intersection of Kailua Road and Kuulei Road, veer to the right and stay on Kailua Road. At the second signal intersection, you will need to turn left to stay on Kailua Road. Veer right onto Kalaheo Street, pass Buzz's steakhouse on your right, and enter the parking lot for Kailua Beach Park on your left.

Saturday, August 2: Waimea Beach Park
From Honolulu take the H2 Freeway north to Kamehameha Highway and bypass Haleiwa. Waimea Bay Beach Park is just before Pupukea. If you pass the "Waimea Audobon Park" sign on your right, you've just missed the beach park entrance, which will be on your left.

Saturday, August 16: Lanikai to the Mokuluas
This Saturday, it's the classic swim to the Mokulua Islands from Lanikai beach.
Meet at John Marshall's house, 1448 Mokolea Drive, Lanikai. Directions to John's House: Go to Lanikai. Take 4th right off Aalapapa on Mokolea. Go up hill. John's is the 2nd to last house on left (white, 2-story).
Special Preparation:
bring your favorite cold sports drink and we will carry them on kayaks to the island, where you can drink it. Everyone must have a rash guard for this swim, during which we often encounter some jelly fish.

Saturday, August 23: Malaekahana State Park
A new adventure for 2003! About 1 mile past the entrance to the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie, traveling toward the North Shore on the Kam Highway, take the first of two entrances to wondrous Malaekahana State Recreation Area as it appears on the makai / right side of the highway. Take the short entrance road to the park's parking area. If you reach Kahuku, you've gone too far.

Saturday, August 30: Shark's Cove
This swim is at Sharks Cove, just beyond the Foodland at Pupukea on the North Shore. Just look for our cars on the ocean side of the road.
