| This is a duotone litho print that I did of my dog, piper. To do it, I
scanned his picture into Photoshop, and then spit it back onto mylar, burned it onto photoplates,
and printed it at the lithography studio. |
 |
| Continuing with the duotone idea, I started with an image of my friend Sam on our Outward Bound
trip in the San Juan Islands. I liked the black / cyan duotone
which provided great contrast in the water, but I wanted her to stand out more, so I played
with putting her in yellow.. |

This is a lamp constructed from the one 2x4 piece of lumber (cut into many pieces).
The ideas I wanted to explore with this piece were: simplicity of means, an innovative use of
the material, and a display of wood's natural beauty.
The bulb I used is a half-silver and prevents light from exiting from the top of the lamp.
I photographed it in black & white since the shadows the lamp casts are visually interesting.

For my junior level mechanical design class, we had to design a vehicle to navigate a
set of stairs. We designed a tank-like machine with dual treads and huge gears. I put the
design into ProEngineer, from which these drawings were rendered. |

I took a computer aided design class, in which we had to model footblocks (pulleys)
for sailboats in ProEngineer. The geometries were pretty straightforward providing a good
introduction to ProE. |
