An abridgement is of the writings of Abraham, a lighted one; the first father in the order of the Illuminati. Called up and chosen by our brother Jehovah in behalf of Elohim.
IN the land of the
Chaldeans, at the residence of my fathers, I, Abraham, saw that it was needful
for me to obtain another place of residence;
And, finding there was greater happiness and
peace and rest for me, I sought for the blessings of the fathers, and the right
whereunto I should be ordained to administer the same; having been myself a
follower of righteousness, desiring also to be one who possessed
great knowledge, and to be a greater follower of righteousness, and to possess
a greater knowledge, and to be a father of many nations, a prince of peace, and
desiring to receive instructions, and to keep the commandments of God, I became
a rightful heir, a High Priest, holding the right belonging to the fathers.
It was conferred upon me from the fathers; it
came down from the fathers, from the beginning of time, yea, even from the
beginning, or before the foundation of the earth, down to the present time,
even the right of the firstborn, or the first man, who is Adam, or first
father, through the fathers unto me.
I sought for mine appointment unto the
Priesthood according to the appointment of God unto the fathers concerning the
seed.
Now,
at this time it was the custom of the priest of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, to
offer up upon the altar which was built in the land of Chaldea, for the offering
unto these strange gods, men, women, and children. And it came to pass that the
priests laid violence upon me, that they might slay me also,
And
as they lifted up their hands upon me, that they might offer me up and take
away my life, behold, I lifted up my voice unto the Lord my God, and the Lord
hearkened and heard, and he filled me with the vision of the Almighty, and the
angel of his presence stood by me, and immediately unloosed my bands;
And his voice was unto me: Abraham•, Abraham, behold, my name is Jehovah, and I have heard thee, and have
come down to deliver thee, and to take thee away from thy father’s house, and
from all thy kinsfolk, into a strange land which thou knowest not of;
And
as I, Abraham sttood face to face with Jehovah, his voice said unto me: You
have been chosen to bring my plan to pass. I shall reveal to you the light of
ages past which you shall be commanded to pass to your seed.
Hearken
and see the light of the Lord:
And I saw the stars that they were very
great, and that one of them was nearest unto the throne of God; and there were
many great ones which were near unto it;
And the Lord said unto me: These are the
governing ones; and the name of the great one is Kolob, because it is near unto
me, for I am the Lord thy God: I have set this one to govern all those which
belong to the same order as that upon which thou standest. From Eternity past
this has been my abode. Its course is one eternal round; a path that the earth
upon which thou standest shall also take.
And the Lord said unto me, that Kolob was after the manner of the Lord,
according to its times and seasons in the revolutions thereof; that one
revolution was a day unto the Lord, after his manner of reckoning, it
being one thousand years according to the time appointed unto that whereon thou
standest. This is the reckoning of the Lord’s time, according to the reckoning
of Kolob.
And the Lord said unto me: The planet which
is the lesser light, lesser than that which is to rule the day, even the night,
is above or greater than that upon which thou standest in point of reckoning,
for it moveth in order more slow; this is in order because it standeth above
the earth upon which thou standest, therefore the reckoning of its time is not
so many as to its number of days, and of months, and of years.
And the Lord said unto me: Now, Abraham,
these two facts exist, behold thine eyes see it; it is given unto thee to know
the times of reckoning, and the set time, yea, the set time of the earth upon
which thou standest, and the set time of the greater light which is set to rule
the day, and the set time of the lesser light which is set to rule the
night.The earth also shall be reckoned as was Kolob in its Days of Burning and
tribulations.
Now the set time of the lesser light is a
longer time as to its reckoning than the reckoning of the time of the earth
upon which thou standest.
And where these two facts exist, there shall
be another fact above them, that is, there shall be another planet whose
reckoning of time shall be longer still;
And thus there shall be the reckoning of the
time of one planet above another, until thou come nigh unto Kolob, which Kolob
is after the reckoning of the Lord’s time; which Kolob is set nigh unto the
throne of God, to govern all those planets which belong to the same order as
that upon which thou standest.
And it is given unto thee to know the set
time of all the stars that are set to give light, until thou come near unto the
throne of God. For you my son and all thy seed shall give this people light
upon light until the times of labor wherein my throne and the earth shall be
one.
Thus I, Abraham, talked with the Lord, face
to face, as one man talketh with another; and he told me of the works which his
hands had made;
And he said unto me: My son, my son (and his
hand was stretched out), behold I will show you all these. And he put his hand
upon mine eyes, and I saw those things which his hands had made, which were
many; and they multiplied before mine eyes, and I could not see the end
thereof.
And he said unto me: This is Shinehah, which
is the sun. And he said unto me: Kokob, which is star. And he said unto me:
Olea, which is the moon. And he said unto me: Kokaubeam, which signifies stars,
or all the great lights, which were in the firmament of heaven. Remember
Abraham these signs for they shall be to you and thy seed signs, tokens and
keys to the mysterious of godliness.
And it was in the night time when the Lord
spake these words unto me: I will multiply thee, and thy seed after thee, like
unto these; and if thou canst count the number of sands, so shall be the number
of thy seeds. But out of thy number shall I call to know these signs but a few.
And the Lord said unto me: Abraham, I show
these things unto thee before ye go into Egypt, that ye may ponder all these
words and keep them lest thy life be taken.
If two things exist, and
there be one above the other, there shall be greater things above them;
therefore Kolob is the greatest of all the Kokaubeam that thou hast seen,
because it is nearest unto me.
Now, if there be two things, one above the
other, and the moon be above the earth, then it may be that a planet or a star
may exist above it; and there is nothing that the Lord thy God shall take in
his heart to do but what he will do it.
Howbeit that he made the greater star; as,
also, if there be two spirits, and one shall be more intelligent than the
other, yet these two spirits, notwithstanding one is more intelligent than the
other, have no beginning; they existed before, they shall have no end, they
shall exist after, for they are gnolaum, or eternal. Gnolaum is eternal
intelligence from whence I came and one day I too shall return.
And the Lord said unto me: These two facts do
exist, that there are two spirits, one being more intelligent than the other;
there shall be another more intelligent than they; I am the Lord thy God, I am
but one of them.
The Lord thy God sent his angel to deliver
thee from the hands of the priest of Elkenah.
I dwell in the midst of them all; I now,
therefore, have come down unto thee to declare unto thee the works which my
hands have made, wherein my wisdom excelleth them all, for I rule in the
heavens above, and in the earth beneath, in all wisdom and prudence, over all
the intelligences thine eyes have seen from the beginning; I came down in the
beginning in the midst of all the intelligences thou hast seen.
Now the Lord had shown unto me, Abraham, the
intelligences that were organized before the world was; and among all these there
were many of the noble and great ones;
And God saw these souls that they were good,
and he stood in the midst of them, and he said: These I will make my rulers;
for he stood among those that were spirits, and he saw that they were good; and
he said unto me: Abraham, thou art one of them; thou wast chosen before thou wast born to be the father of my offspring.
It had been many days that I had
heard the voice of Jehovah. I soon was
summoned to carry sacrifice with my father
to the altar of the priests. Remembering the command of God
I called upon his name:
And it came to pass in the darkness of my soul I
felt a great light and saw in my minds eye the glory of His majesty:
“Abraham,
why doest thou tarry at the house of thy father?”
I
know not Lord, for I am my father’s only servant and without the priesthood
which he has ordained me I am but a curse to life.
“My
son
Did
not I give thee my promise, for thou art blessed from my hand and thy
priesthood is after my name and my will.
Arise
and leave thy Father’s house and this people, take with you a wife, Sarah , to
the south thou shalt travel.
Go
make haste and do not forget the covenant which thou art bound, I shall make of
thee a great nation and thou shalt be a father to my seed.”
And I will bless them that bless thee, and
curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be
blessed.
So Abraham departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abraham was seventy and five years old when he
departed out of Haran.
And Abraham took Sarai his wife, and Lot his
brother’s son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls
that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of
Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came.
¶ And Abraham passed through the land unto
the place of Sichem, unto the plain of Moreh. And the Canaanite was then in the land.
And the LORD appeared unto
Abraham, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an
altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him.
And he removed from thence unto a mountain on
the east of Beth-el, and pitched his tent, having
Beth-el on the west, and Hai on the east: and there he builded an altar and
etched into it the signs of light as the Lord had commanded , and called upon
the name of the LORD. And these are the words that he said “Oh God hear
the words of my mouth” with holy hands uplifted he repeated these words facing
the sun three times.
And Abram journeyed, going on still toward
the south.
And the LORD said unto
Abraham, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and
look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and
westward:
For all the land which thou seest, to thee
will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.
And I will make thy seed as the dust of the
earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered.
Arise, walk through the land in the length of
it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.
Then Abraham removed his tent, and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar
unto the LORD after the manner which was given him.
1
AND it came to pass in the days of Amraphel king of
Shinar Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of
nations;
2
That these made war with Bera king of
Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber
king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela, which is Zoar.
3
All these were joined together in the vale of Siddim, which is the salt sea.
4
Twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and in the thirteenth year they
rebelled.
5
And in the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer, and the kings that were with him, and smote the Rephaims in
Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzims in Ham, and the Emims• in Shaveh Kiriathaim,
6
And the Horites in their mount Seir, unto El-paran, which is by the wilderness.
7
And they returned, and came to En-mishpat, which is Kadesh, and smote all the country of the Amalekites, and also
the Amorites, that dwelt in Hazezon-tamar.
8
And there went out the king of Sodom, and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of
Admah, and the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (the same is Zoar;) and they joined battle with them
in the vale of Siddim;
With Chedorlaomer the king of Elam, and with
Tidal king of nations, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar;
four kings with five.
And
the vale of Siddim was full of
slimepits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and fell there; and they
that remained fled to the mountain.
And they took all the goods of Sodom and
Gomorrah, and all their victuals, and went their way.
And they took Lot, Abraham’s brother’s son,
who dwelt in Sodom, and his goods, and departed.
And there came one that had escaped, and told
Abraham ; for he dwelt in the plain of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eschol,
and brother of Aner: and these were
confederate with Abraham.
And when Abraham heard that his brother was
taken captive, he armed his trained servants and clothed them with the signs of
protection sewn into their garments. For these were born in his own house and
from birth had been set apart as a society of servanthood . They were three
hundred and eighteen, and pursued them
unto Dan.
And
he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night under the gaze
of the Kokaubeam, , and smote them
carving into their chests the sign appointed by God for such evil ones , and
pursued them unto Hobah, which is on
the left hand of Damascus.
And he brought back all the goods, and also
brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the
people.
And the king of Sodom ,having evil in his
heart, went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer,
and of the kings that were with him,
at the valley of Shaveh, which is the
king’s dale.
And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth
bread and wine: and he was the priest
of the most high God.
And
Melchizedek lifted up his voice and blessed Abraham.
Now Melchizedek was a man of faith, who
wrought righteousness; and when a child he feared God, and stopped the mouths
of lions, and quenched the violence of fire.
And thus, having been approved of God, he was
ordained an high priest after the order of the covenant which God made with
Enoch,
It being after the order of the Son of God;
which order came, not by man, nor the will of man; neither by father nor
mother; neither by beginning of days nor end of years; but of God;
And it was delivered unto men by the calling
of his own voice, according to his own will, unto as many as believed on his
name.
For God having sworn unto Enoch and unto his
seed with an oath by himself; that every one being ordained after this order
and calling should have power, by faith, to break mountains, to divide the
seas, to dry up waters, to turn them out of their course;
To put at defiance the armies of nations, to
divide the earth, to break every band, to stand in the presence of God; to do
all things according to his will, according to his command, subdue
principalities and powers; and this by the will of the Son of God which was
from before the foundation of the world.
And men having this faith, coming up unto
this order of God, were translated and taken up into heaven.
And now, Melchizedek was a priest of this
order; therefore he obtained peace in Salem, and was called the Prince of peace
And
his people wrought righteousness, and obtained heaven, and sought for the city
of Enoch which God had before taken, separating it from the earth, having
reserved it unto the latter days, or the end of the world;
And hath said, and sworn with an oath, that
the heavens and the earth should come together; and the sons of God should be
tried so as by fire in the days of burning fortold long ago.
And this Melchizedek, having thus established
righteousness, was called the king of heaven by his people, or, in other words,
the King of peace.
And he lifted up his voice, and he blessed
Abraham, being the high priest, and the keeper of the storehouse of God;
“Abraham
you are a light in this dark place, keep that flame glowing, ner turn to the
right or to the left but keep thine eyes upon He whom has called you.”
Reaching
forth his hand he presented to Abraham the token of the Holy priesthood
What
is that responded Abraham
Melchizedek whispered “it is the first token of the
priesthood of the Son. Keep it sacred and divulge it to no one until the time
which the Lord shall appoint hereafter.”
Releasing
the grasp he ended, these tokens are received with a tithe for the poor. How
valiant art thou Abraham?
Wherefore, Abraham paid unto him tithes of
all that he had, of all the riches which he possessed, which God had given him
more than that which he had need.
