SATURDAY -- USA beat China on penalty kicks to win World Cup. Met with President Clinton in locker room after game. Filmed ''We're going to Disneyland!'' commercial. Attended reception at Ritz-Carlton in Pasadena that night. SUNDAY -- Spent the day at Disneyland in Anaheim where team was honored with a parade. Posed for cover shot of this week's People magazine. MONDAY -- After flight was delayed 21/2 hours, arrived in New York at 4 a.m. Within a span of 41/2 hours, made appearances on Good Morning America, Today Show, CNN and FOX News. Ducar was interviewed by Matt Lauer on the Today Show. Visited NikeTown for free shopping spree. Tracy, who is sponsored by rival adidas, brought home about $500 worth of sporting goods for family and friends. Ducar was supposed to sleep from 4-6 p.m. but slept until 10 p.m. instead. TUESDAY -- World Cup champs were honored/roasted before a large crowd on 56th Street in New York City. Sportscaster Donna DeVarona emceed. Ubiquitous developer Donald Trump also spoke. Flew home to Durham, N.C., that night. UPCOMING -- Monday they'll visit the White House and Tuesday they'll appear on the David Letterman Show. |
