Brrrrrrrrr!
Winter time is here again,
All wrapped in fleecy white ~
It settles in my bones each day,
And inmy toes at night.

The chill invades by every breath,
The rain comes down in buckets ~
To dampen every pore of me,
I just can't seem to duckit.

I'm ready for the warmth of Spring,
And smell of new mown grass ~
I just can't wait to feel the sun,
Will Winter NEVER pass?

Wishes
In life, I've wished for many things,
Shiney slippers.....angel wings,
Baby dolls with curly hair
but none of these can quite compare....

To wishes that I make of late,
The dreams on which I concentrate
Now center on one special theme
YOU are the center of my dream....

Solitude
Eyes, so blue and gentle watched
As I skipped along the rutted lane
And stopped occasionally
To pick the early wildflowers.
The air, chill from the recent Winter
Yet, holding a hint of joys to come
Caressed us as we walked -
Making our breath a plume before our faces.
The smile on your lips more gentle still
As you bent to touch my cheek.
Such days are rare and precious
Now that years have passed behind me
Memories are consolation as I sit here
In lonely solitude.

Autumn
Each year she comes in splendor,
To thrill my very soul ~
Quiet, unobstrusive Autumn,
to Usher in the cold.

she stays around for Winter frost,
(And sometimes doesn't know)
Just when she needs to stick around,
Or when It's time to snow!

But old man Winter has his say,
soon enough you see,
And Autumn blusters as she leaves,
To the great delight of......ME!
