Even though I had become used to seeing kills over the months, the lion kill of the buffalo was particularly difficult to watch as the buffalo did not die instantly. It is one thing to rationalise about survival and the necessity of killing. Something else altogether to watch it happening. Having said that though, it is a part of wildlife that I would probably not have seen otherwise and for that I will always be grateful.
