It was Valentine's Day, a day of love and romance. Everyone seemed busy with dating and dinner reservations. Even Fubuki's friends had plans. Anzu and Yugi were going dancing, Jounouchi and Mai were going to dinner, and Honda invited Shizuka to a movie. Yami would have made plans with Fubuki...if he were still around. Ever since he went back to his own world, Fubuki hasn't been herself. She was tired all the time, on the count of her suffering from frequent insomnia. She hadn't eaten very much in a while and had lost weight, and felt sad and sick quite often. All she thought about was Yami and how much she missed him. Fubuki had loved him dearly...more than she could ever imagine...but now he was gone. She felt empty and lonely.

However, over time, her friends have been able to cheer her up. Anzu taught her a new dance, while Mai and the other girls went shopping with her. Yugi taught her some dueling techniques. Jounouchi and Honda helped her in her sparring sessions, and Ryouta and Bakura took her fishing. Fubuki had especially become close friends with Otogi, who was secretly in love with her. she felt like he was always there and could tell him anything. She just wished she could repay all her friends, in some way, for their caring and Kindness.

Speaking of Otogi, he was planning on visiting Fubuki again. He noticed how sad she had been feeling lately, so he decided to cheer her up by finally asking her out on a date. He had been longing to ask her out for a long time, but waited for the right time. After all, it was Valentine's Day, and he couldn't really hide his feelings from her any longer.

He stopped over at Yugi's house, where Fubuki was staying, but she wasn't home. Suguroku said that she went to the park. So Otogi went on his way to the park. He saw Fubuki sitting alone under a tree, and went over to her.

"Hey Fubuki. How's it going?"

Fubuki looked up at him.

"Oh, hi Otogi. I guess things are okay..." she said softly, and looked down at the ground. She looked sad and distant, even though she was happy to see Otogi again.

"Are you okay?" Otogi put his hand gently on her shoulder and leaned over to look at her. Fubuki let out a soft sigh.

"I dunno," she replied, "I'm just feeling a little lonely...and empty..."

Otogi put his arm around her and gently rubbed her shoulder. Fubuki smiled softly.

"Hey Fubuki..." Otogi said softly, "I've been meaning to ask you something for a while..."

"Oh? What is it?"

"Otogi blushed a little, "Would you like to go see a movie with me tonight?"

Fubuki looked up at him softly, not sure what to say at first. She had known that they had become close, and was flattered that he was brave enough to ask her out.

"Fubuki?" Otogi said. Fubuki snapped back to reality.

"Oh...well...um..." she hesitated.

Otogi picked a flower that stood near the tree. He gave it to Fubuki, looked into her crystal blue eyes and said "I hope you'll say yes..." Fubuki blushed.

"Okay...." she replied shyly.

"Great! So I'll meet you there at eight, then?

"Sounds good!" Fubuki giggled.

"Allright," Otogi replied, "Well I have to go now. I've got some things to do before then."

Both of them stood up and hugged each other. Suddenly, Otogi leaned closer, kissed her on her cheek and said, "See you at eight." Fubuki blushed as she watched him walk away. She placed her hand on her cheek and looked at the flower he gave her.

"I.............I can't believe it..........." she said to herself. She left the park and started on her way home. The moment played over and over in her mind.
