Mardave V12 racing is a cheap and easy way to get started in R/C racing. They offer affordable cars to drivers which can be raced straight out of the box with no upgrades in there own competitive class. It is easy to get hold of parts and they are much cheaper then the off-road racers or TC racers.

The ABS plastic body shell is plenty strong enough to take the impacts of crashes and the space between the front bumper and the chassis to absorb the head on crashes.

You should be able to start racing for just over £100 pounds which includes your mardave V12 kit, battery, charger, radio kit (transmitter, receiver, 2 servos and 2 crystals) and your batteries for the transmitter. If you are wishing to race you will have to pay club fees and more sets of tyres and more batteries. You may also have to pay for insurance from the BRCA and fees for any special competitions you want to enter.

You will probably not need to by many spares for your V12 because of the strength of these cars but if you do then they are easy to get hold of through where ever you brought the car or at your local club. Spares are very cheap and will usually cost you pennies then pounds. The most expensive spare you are likely to need is a spare motor which costs just £6:50.

As mardave V12 racing is designed to be a cheap and competitive sport it is controlled by a strict set of rules. These are designed to make people use skill to win races and not money. On the BRCA links page are the official rules from BRCA but many clubs make small changes such as not allowing electronic speed controllers at all. Please consult you local club to find out about there rules
