CHICHEN ITZA
(chee-CHEN  eet-ZAH)
The BIG pyramid.  For a person with vertigo, this 90 step jaunt can be terrifying.  But after the fear-induced paralysis subsides a bit, the spectacular view from the top is most certainly rewarding.
On the day of the vernal equinox, more than 75,000 people gather to watch an amazing phenomenon.  With the placement of the sun on the first day of spring, the serpent appears to slither down the corner of the pyramid.
JUEGO MAYA
The outcome of this game varies depending on which historical count of the Maya people you are reading.  Some say the losing team is beheaded during a ceremonial sacrifice held after the game.  Others say it is the winning team that is beheaded and that these people were reared believing it was a great honor to win and lose your head for the sake of traditional sacrifice.
