As the title implies I am a dulcimer maker and player. Since 1981 I have made and sold mountain dulcimers in the tiny North Georgia town of Helen. I have made around 800 dulcimers and sent them to all parts of the country from Maine to California.
I use only select hardwoods such as black walnut, butter nut, and cherry. My dulcimers are a pleasure to look at as they are to play.
I am pleased to offer these fine instruments to you and I think you'll find them to be affordable as well as easy to play.
As a player of the dulcimer, I have won numerous awards for my ability and have six recordings to my credit.
Storytelling is a grand tradition in these mountains and I do my best to carry it on in my performances. I draw on my own family history as well as the oral tradition of the Southern mountains.
I play banjo, dulcimer and guitar and perform for groups all over the Southeast.
I also offer dulcimer builing workshops in which the participants construct their own dulcimer with parts and tools I provide and even learn a tune or two to boot.
