At the recent Installation of Office Bearers Brother Alan Wells Caskie was installed as Right Worshipful Master by Bro. Ronald Clark PM, DoC and a very able Installing Board. Bro. Ian Walker PM installed the Senior Office Bearers and Bro. John Alexander PM, the Junior Office Bearers. It was an excellent installation by all concerned and we are deeply indebted to them all for all the hard work that obviously went in to ensuring the evening's success. Highlight of the evening had to be the reading to the Ancient Charges by Bro. Jock Caskie, the RWM's father. He must have been a very proud man.
At the Festive Board, toasts were carried out by the RWM, the Provincial Grand Master, Bro. Peter Irving Stewart, Bro. James McAllister, the RWM of Lodge St Michaels No 63 and a number of Lodge 53 brethren.
After the formalities, we adjourned to the lounge to enjoy a few hours of Lodge Harmony, ably hosted by the newly installed Junior Warden, Bro. Colin Wright. I think we can see from the pictures that there would be a few bleary eyes at work the next morning. More pictures from the evening are available on the Photos page.
We are organising a bus to the Annual Installation of our good friends at Lodge Craigends No 1042 in Linwood, Renfrewshire. The meeting is on Friday 6th December and will probably have to leave George Street at about 5pm. If any Brother is interested in joining us, then please contact the Treasurer as soon as possible.
