Personality: He is bad-tempered, naive, and obediant. He is very well-trained himself, and dedicated to one thing: teaching swordfighting. Anything else he considers somewhat less worthy of his time and effort. Interrupting him - especially while teaching - will earn almost anyone his ire. He is respectful of the Head Knights and the Prince and Princess, but aside from them (and the cook, Malpin, who often comes to feed him new dishes which he really likes!) few people have ever earned a smile from him.

He is blunt and always to the point - and since his Knight is also abrupt like that, no one ever doubts the truthfulness in anything either of them say. If something is amiss and one asks either of this pair about it, they'll get to the heart of the matter quickly enough.
