One of my all time favorites. I loved this song because the melody calmed me and gave me a sense of wonder and freedom. A felling of hope. I also like the song because of the story it tells and how close the story came to home. It talks about superman and kryptonite being his one weakness. To me I am superman and kryptonite symbolizes my fear. As kryptonite cripples superman so does fear cripple me. Fear and conditioning. I'm sure dad raised me the best that he could under the circumstances but because I haven't been able to express my opinions I got the idea that it wasn't ok to be myself. What am I without my own opinions and thoughts. I am not me. My opinions and thoughts define me. So subconsiously i must have put a wall of fear to prevent me from showing the world who I am. Fear ruled my life from 4th grade -> middle school graduation and most of 9th grade as well.
