I really enjoy listening to this song because it reminds me a lot of what is going on. It fills me with an anger that I have towards my dad. He is so controlling, and manipulative. I don't like being around him. He always finds something to rag on me about and frequently reminds me of it. This song also motivated me to get my own place and to move out. Some examples were giving me a cell phone so he could call me at anytime and have me do anything he wanted regardless of what I was doing before he called. I was supposed to keep it on all the time but after the first couple of conflicts with my schedule vs. his emergency I kept it off. So he take's it back for (aka Punishment for not being on) Not much of a punishment considering i never used it and i never asked for it. To me it symbolized a leash. I had no intention of being chained.
