In the wild forests of the Empire the rule in the city-states means little. Local counts are powerless to prevent the occupation of their trackless woods by the creatures that live there. Of all these wild forest creatures the most bestial are, as you might expect, the beastman. These children of chaos, half man and half animal, have a boundless ferocity which can only be sated with battle. They do, however, have enough rudimentary intelligence to work out that one of the most depraved forms of martial combat is the ancient game of Blood Bowl.
Beastmen used to play in the teams of great Chaos Champions, but since the example of the great Aleosis, the Blessed One, all-beastman teams have started to compete. Ungor, the lesser breed, have been used to great effect for mugging the opposing players in large numbers, and of course if a minotaur can be roused from his forest shrine, his unending hunger and blood rage will ensure him a popular, if bloody, career.
