Dungog Dressage Club was formed in 1995 by a group of riders and trainers to promote Dressage in the area.
Dungog is about one hour's drive from Newcastle and 2 1/2 hours north of Sydney, in the Hunter Valley of New
South Wales, Australia. Dungog is known as the "Gateway to the Barrington Tops", a scenic World Heritage
Listed Wilderness area.
Competition days are held at Tabbil Creek. Turn left 1km south of Dungog, from the Maitland/Raymond Terrace
Road, onto Cemetery Road. The spacious grounds are owned by the Mackay Family. Polo, Picnic Racing and Horse trials
are also held there. Camping and Stabling is available at Dungog Showground (phone the Caretaker on: 02 49921033).
For a time Dungog Dressage Club days were held at Stroud Showground, but have since returned to Tabbil Creek.
Dungog Dressage Club holds unofficial/official Dressage competition events and training days. Levels are from
Walk/Trot to Advanced. For upcoming events, see our Events
Calendar.
A Pointscore is run annually for members of the club, with trophies and prizes generously donated by our sponsors.
