DAKINIS (Tib: Khandromas) are spiritual beings who fulfill the enlighted activities. For the first time in this region, the puja will feature the Dakini Dance. This sacred spiritual ativity is absolutely not to be misconstrued as a cultural dance. Instead, it is a powerful spiritual practice where the dancers are in a profound meditative state, and every step or gesture they make is based on authentic scriptural instructions. Thus, the powerful blessing- energy invoked can help liberate all who watch the sacred dance with pure faith and motivation. This method of liberation is known as "Liberation by sight". By seeing the sacred dance, the spectators will also receive blessings of the deities. (Deities, in this context, are enlighted deities;not to be confused with worldly samsaric deities.)
