Easy Fudge (By Kraft)
This is a nearly fool-proof fudge recipe offered by Kraft. You do not need to use Kraft products to make this, however I will recommend thats what you use being as it is THEIR recipe I am using (as a courtesy). This same recipe can be found on the label of Kraft Jet-Puffed Marshmallow Cream.
Lightly grease a foil-lined 9 X 9 X 2 pan; set aside.
Heat sugar, butter or margarine, milk and marshmallow cream in heavy 3 qt saucepan over medium heat until mixture boil, stirring constantly. Boil and stir for 5 minutes.
Stir in chocolate chips and vanilla extract. Stir until melted then add walnuts (if desired).
Immediately spread into prepared pan. Refrigerate overnight. (often 2-4 hours is sufficient) Cut into 1-inch squares. Store in airtight container in refrigerator. For creamier fudge, let stand 1 hour before serving. (I stored at room temperature in airtight container with no problems)
This recipe is from KRAFT Jet-Puffed marshmallow cream. That can be bought at any grocery store (just about). Best price I've found is $.88 each at Winco Foods.
