Penuche
Okay, I don't know how to spell it, so if that's not right blame my mother! She is the one that gave me this recipe, afterall. I have copied and pasted it exactly as she gave it to me. I found it humorous and got quite the giggle from it. I think most ladies will appreciate it, too.
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup milk
2 TBSP corn syrup
1/4 tsp (that's TEASPOON, dear) salt
2 TBSP butter or margarine
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup nuts, if you want
butter (brownie) pan, blah blah. mix sugar, milk, corn syrup, and the 1/4 TEASPOON salt in 2 qt saucepan. Hereinafter referred to as fudge pan. Cook over med heat, stirring 24/7, until sugar is dissolved. Cook, stirring occasionally to 234 degrees (farenheit) or soft ball stage. remove from heat. Add butter. cool to 120 degrees without stirring (bottom of pan will be lukewarm). Add vanilla. Beat the crap out of it 5-10 minutes with wooden spoon, until mixture becomes thick and no longer glossy, or until your arm falls off and nothing's happening. Spread into pans. Lick dishes. Hide in a box labeled "instruction manuals" so the man of the house won't find it.
