Hickling Broad, River Thurne
Hickling is the largest of the Broads, it covers over 1000 acres and is a National Nature Reserve which was aquired by the Norfolk Naturalists Trust in 1945. The huge expanse of freshwater is popular with yachting enthusiasts and there is an abundance of birdlife for bird watchers.
Hickling Staithe is a popular mooring spot with the Pleasure Boat Inn at the head of it.
