Ranworth, River Bure.

From the river, Ranworth is reached via a narrow dyke leading to Malthouse Broad. The staithe is a very popular mooring for the craft of visitors to the Granary stores and coffee shop, the staithe is also home to the Broads Conservation Centre. To the rear of the staithe is the Maltsters Inn which was built in 1762, the road to the right takes you in the direction of St Helen's church and the Nature Reserve.

St Helens Church is considered to be one of the most picturesque in the area and contains a 15th century rood screen which is one of the finest in England. A climb to the top of tower is well worth the effort for the lovely view but the spiral staircase is not for the feint hearted!

Cruisers crowd the modern staithe, a lot different from the 1956 scene in the image above.
