If you have a question about this site or me in general, you will probably find the answer here. If you don’t, please feel free to e-mail me!
Question: Why did you make a site for Duo and Hilde?
Answer: It’s simple: Because I like them.
Question: Don’t you know that Duo and Heero are lovers?
Answer: Officially, they are NOT lovers. Of course, officially, neither are Duo and Hilde. However, I never write to DuoxHeero sites to complain about it, so why should they do that to me? We’re all in the same boat when it comes to official information.
Question: Why is the site’s subtitle “Version 4.0”?
Answer: Most of you probably haven’t been counting (cause I didn’t number them), but this is the fourth major layout/design I’ve given the site. Therefore, I like to call it “Version 4.0”.
Question: So what’s so great about this new version?
Answer: Hopefully, it’s more user-friendly and much easier to navigate. Some things I’ve done to improve the site are: Organize the content more neatly, place links to the major areas at the bottom of nearly every page, use smaller graphics to save on loading time, used a prettier font/color, organized the fanfiction by genre instead of having it lumped onto one page, and separated the flames to different pages to make it easier to locate the newest flames.
Question: Is this site yaoi, non-yaoi, or anti-yaoi?
Answer: Officially, it’s non-yaoi, but you’ll probably notice some shounen-ai hints in some of the fanfics (warnings are provided). This site is not, and has never been, anti-yaoi.
Question: What about you personally? How do you feel about yaoi?
Answer: Personally, I’m kind of in-between. There are certain pairings that I like (some official, some completely UNofficial). The only possible pairing in Gundam Wing that I like is HeeroxTrowa (but I happen to prefer HeeroxRelena over that). However, in most cases, I prefer non-yaoi pairings. Now, let me explain my reason for this. For me to appreciate a relationship, I must be able to relate to it. If it’s a yaoi pairing, I can’t relate because there are no females involved. If it is a yuri pairing, I can’t relate because I am straight and can’t relate to a female in love with another female. It’s not because I hate homosexuals or anything like that. If you are curious as to what yaoi/yuri pairings I support across the anime universe, I’d be happy to provide a list if you e-mail me asking for it.
Question: Can I use the graphics from your pages?
Answer: I seriously doubt that anyone would want to, but the answer is no. I took the time to touch up those screen caps with a picture editing program to make them look nice and clear (as much as I could). I then added my own text to them. It took quite a while. I don’t see how you could use them short of using them for the same exact kind of pages (which wouldn’t make much sense).
Question: Can I use the fanfics from your site?
Answer: If they are written by me, I don’t mind. However, I must insist that you e-mail me to let me know that you’re using them and provide a link to your site. You should already know this but, you need to give proper credit. List the name of the author and the e-mail address somewhere with the story. If the story you wish to use was written by someone else other than me, you need to e-mail them personally and ask for permission. Their e-mail address should be at the end of the story they wrote.
Question: Has this site won any awards?
Answer: It sure has! You can view them here.
Question: Does this site give out awards?
Answer: Not at the moment. Someday I may develop an awards system, but right now I’m just too busy.
Question: I sent in a fanfic/fanart/essay or a question for the “Ask Duo and Hilde” section and I don’t see it posted. Why not?
Answer: I was probably very busy when you submitted. If you don’t see your submission within two weeks, please re-submit the same thing you submitted along with a FRIENDLY note pointing out that you submitted once before. If you don’t see it after that, then maybe something else is wrong. Check your submission and make sure you followed the submission guidelines, particularly that you noted what it was in the subject line of the e-mail. No matter what you’re submitting, you should note it in the subject. For fanfics, type something like FANFIC SUBMISSION. For fanart, type FANART SUBMISSION, and so on. No, you don’t HAVE to use capital letters, but they do stand out and grab my attention.
