The show that began my money-spending on anime would have to be Sailor moon, even though at the time, I had no idea it was actually anime. Echo and I watched this show religously, bought and recieved hundreds of dollars worth of Sailor Moon merchandise, and even had our lives revolve around the characters of this show, all the while never even knowing that there were other shows out there that were just like it, maybe even better! We could say that this started our anime obsession, but that would be lying, since we didn't even know it was anime! The show that actually started our anime obsession, when we started going out and buying poster after poster, and decks of playing cards and models and videos, was Gundam Wing. We will always have a place for Sailor Moon, though, even though now that we have something to compare it to, we realize that the show is really girly and kind of lame. ^ _ ^
Anyway, if it wasn't already obvious, my favourite character from Sailor Moon is Usagi. She was the first Sailor Scout discovered on the show by Luna, (Although Sailor Venus had been found before that by Artemis) and as is the usual in any show, the first character that is introduced on the show is more than likely the main character. Serina is a very lively girl, she's also very friendly and likes to be with her friends. Even though she is supposed to be a super hero, and save the world from bad things and evil people, she is a very VERY big cry baby. If you look to the right of the page, you'll see her reaction when Luna talked to her for the first time. Heh heh... She got over the talking cat thing fast, when she started marvelling at herself in the mirror after Luna told her how to transform into Sailor Moon. Her first battle was almost a complete disaster, and she would have lost to her first enemy, if it weren't for Tuxedo Mask, the show's appointed "hunky saving guy". (Can't go without one of

those now, can we?) With his help, and soon the rest of the inner Senshi, Sailor Moon finally became a true fighter. Of course, she will never stop whining or crying when things go wrong for her, but she's always there when her friends, or the world, need her! As time goes on, her powers, as well as the other scouts', grow stronger. They meet new scouts, and new enemies. Usagi becomes more dependable with the growth of her powers, because she realizes that there is alot that depends on her actions.
