    Modifying the original Megatron was something I'd been meaning to do for a long time (mine wasn't in the best of conditions) and only now got around to. The first thing that needed to go was the his pelvic trigger...thing. I'd wanted to make it fold away to create his waist in some way, but I found it much easier to simply remove it. As a replacement I constructed a whole new waist and abdomen section which clips on in robot mode. You can see both parts detached here. I really only display him in robot mode, so another removable part during his transformation didn't really bother me any. Finally, his gaudy, half worn chrome (as well as many of his other parts) was repainted with a matte silver, and his face painted light grey.
