Joseph Pach

Toronto born Violinist Joseph Pach gave his first public performance at the age of six at the MacKenzie King Century Club in Toronto performing Toselli's "Serenade". As a child, Joseph won 9 First Place Gold Medals and Scholarships in Ontario Music Festivals and Competitions. He made his Symphonic Debut with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra playing the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto when he was 19 years old.

Joseph holds the Artist Diploma from the University of Toronto (1947). While maintaining an active solo career he founded and led 3 string quartets. The Brunswick, resident at the University of New Brunswick for 18 years, performed, recorded and toured Canada, Britain and the U.S.

In recognition of his contribution to music in Canada, Joseph Pach was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Laws from Saint Thomas University in l988 and an Honorary Doctorate of Literature from the University of New Brunswick in l993.
