A Dream Come True

*Disclaimer/notes* The usual: I don't own Gundam Wing and never will. Sorry chapter three's so short, but I'm working on two other fics right now. This, and my newest one, The New Reign (a really weird fic), is my Christmas gift to whatever fans I have out there.. Cuz I was going to abandon this fic. But I really shouldn't do that, considering this was my first GW fic. Anyhoo, chapter four will be a club scene! I love writing club scenes! Bubbles chan is going to kill me..^_^" Lookie, glitter(inside joke)! Oki doke, that's all the blabbering I'm going to do today. I want to go back to day dreaming about um..actually this is not of your business so yea, go read now! Thanx!

***Jennifer***

It was an accident that I had found out about Vincent working at the bookstore in the Galleria. I was there with my other friend, Bianca, when I literally bumped into him. We had stared at each other for what seemed like eternity before he asked me how I was. I couldn’t reply and ran out the store while Bianca stayed and angrily talked to him.

Someone tapped my shoulder.

“Huh?”

Melody had an evil glint in her eyes. “What do you say to us going to that bookstore and making Vince jealous? You know, Drew is so much better looking. Nicer too. He already agreed to it, that is, if you don’t care.”

“Sure, why not. I’m still really mad at him. We were best friends! Friends don’t do that to each other.”

We went into the bookstore, me holding hands with Drew and Melody walking behind us. Vincent saw us right away and Melody snickered quietly. His eyes were huge and almost dropped the stack of books he was holding.

“Jennifer, Melody! Hey, what’s up?”

Going along with the plan, Drew wrapped his left arm around my waist. I smiled at my ex. “Hi Vince. We decided to come shopping after lunch. This is my boyfriend, Drew Maxwell. Drew, this is Vince Ling.

They shook hands. Vince looked somewhat mad and there was definitely a hint of jealousy in his eyes even though he was smiling.

“Nice to meet you. If Jennifer hasn’t told you, I’m her ex. We’ve known each other for about seven years.”

Drew nodded. “I just moved in next to her. So, guess that makes her the perfect girl-next-door. She really is a great find. I want to thank you for dumping her.”

You could barely tell Vince was fuming, but after being there for him six long years, I noticed it immediately. So did Melody. She decided to push him even more.

“Isn’t he so cute, Vince? I’m so jealous. Jennifer you really are too lucky. Why can’t my boyfriend be as sweet?” she joked.

“Oh come on. You two are perfect for each other. You really shouldn’t compare yours to...Doug, is it?” he replied.

I felt Drew tense up. “It’s Drew.”

The two guys stared daggers at each other. This really was much more than I expected and wanted. I decided to break it up before either had broken bones, and pretended to check my watch.

“Drew chan we better get going if we want to have dinner before going to the Chaos.”

“Oh, yea. Guess we have to leave now,” he paused to kiss me on the mouth, which not only surprised Vince but also me and Melody, “see ya around at school Vince.”

“Bye Vincent!” Melody and I chorused.

“So Drew, what did you think of him?” Melody asked.

“No offense or anything Jennifer, but that’s a really nice ex you got there.” he answered sarcastically.

I sighed. “He was never like that ‘til Bethany came. I’m sorry you had to go through all that.”

“Hey, it was no problem. Actually it was fun. I think someone wants you back.”

“Jenn, you’re not going to, are you?!” Melody grabbed my shoulders and shook me.

“What do you think Mel? He dumped me for that..that slut! I’ll be damned if I take him back.”

“Cool. He’s a jerk.” She laughed. “You know, he hasn’t had a date since Bethany decided she was through with him.”

“Really?”

“Yeah. Everyone thought you two were THE best couple around.”

“Oh... Well, anyway. So Drew, you want to go to the club now?”

“Sure, why not. We’ll have to go home first though. I have to grab my so-called i.d. and change.”

“You look cute.”

***Melody***

Something was totally going on between Jennifer and Drew. How could I tell? First, because I know just how much my friend likes Duo from Gundam Wing, and Drew reminded me of him in more than one way. Second, Jennifer never flirts. She’s too modest. So that proves she meant that last statement. I let the two of them walk ahead of me again so I could observe them some more. Yes, they looked really cute together. I had to hook them up.
