As I watch you stand under the
bright moonlight
Staring out into the deep dark sea
All I feel is peace at heart.

Then you slowly turn around
Your violet-blue eyes
Lock onto mine
I feel myself falling, drowning
Drowning into an endless pool of violet-blue.

Time seems to stop for those
Precious three seconds.
Closing the distance between us
To me takes forever and ever.

“Duo”, the name quietly comes out.
I reach for your skin
Roughened by war
But your image shatters.

Waking with a start
Panicked eyes search for your figure
Finally resting by the window.

You sit there
In a chair
Gazing at the snow outside.
Softly, I walk over
And kneel by your side.

You smile sweetly
Those violet-blue pools asking,
“Is peace finally here?”
Frowning, I can only give you a doubtful answer.

I wish I could give you everything
But it is not in my power
To do so.
Still, I give you the untiring gift of love
And you return it in abundance

Then, as if to confirm my doubts
A blast shakes our castle on the clouds
Though thrown from the window,
You protect me still.

Leaving to defend once again
On the blood-stained battle field
I plead
For you to return in one piece.
A smile to encourage
You give.

I stay
In the safety of our home
And watch you in Deathscythe Hell
Engage in a war
To let others keep their sanity and lives.

A deadly blow
Is dealt and you fall
Tears threatening to drop
I rush to your Gundam

Frantically opening the hatch
I find you still alive and breathing
Though weak and bruised
You are still here on Earth
Not up there by the pearly gates of Heaven

The world halts for us
Suspended on its axel
Five minutes are endless
While I tend to your wounds

A shot from a laser gun
Flies overhead
You pull me in
Roughly but gently

Amazed I am still
How you can be two at once
Intense is your gaze
