Chapter 2

Morning light shinned through the detailed stain-glass windows surrounding the decorated chapel. Old-fashioned wooden pews were adorned with roses of red and cream, two of each tied to each row with a golden trimmed white ribbon. The song of the morning birds rang with the same happiness all in the small church were experiencing. All but one, that is. There on the end of the second pew of the bride's side sat Relena. She was beautifully dressed in a long, sleeve-less off-white dress. Her honey blond locks were done up in a tight French twist while two long tendrils of hair hung gracefully around her lovely face. It wasn't long before some one dressed in a white dress shirt and black slacks came and took the seat next to her. Heero didn't say a word even though he wanted to get it in the open what he knew, but decided that it would be good to wait and practice his patience instead. Soon all the guests arrived and filled up the remaining pews. On the groom's side sat all 40 Magunaqs and 28 of Quatre's sisters. Sitting on the opposite side were the Gundam pilots, minus Trowa, with their loved ones. They took to sitting on Dorothy's side because she didn't have much family and Quatre's side was already well occupied. Duo, dressed in black slacks with a navy blue shirt and black tie sat holding hands with his fiancé Melina in the front row. Melina, who Duo met while moving to earth from colony L2, wore a matching navy blue dress with her shoulder length brown hair curled at the ends. Next to them sat Zechs and his wife Noin. He wore something similar to Heero, but his pants were of a charcoal color. Noin looked beautiful in her baby blue colored dress. Sally and Wufei took their place next to Heero. Wufei was wearing forest green slacks and a black shirt. His arm was around Sally who was dressed in a light green dress. They all sat waiting patiently for the ceremony to begin, casting a few glances at Quatre. Excitement and happiness could be seen in the eyes of the blond Arabian groom.

The ceremony began with the organ playing a delicate piece of music while the attention of the guests turned to the only bride's maid and best man. Trowa and Quatre's 22-year-old sister Kayla walked with her arm in his. Her gown was cream with crimson trim at the bottom. She resembled her brother because of her blond locks, which were up in a tight bun, but her eyes were a mint green and blue. Trowa was dressed in a simple black tux, a slight smile tugging at the sides of his lips. They soon reached the front and took their appropriate places, Trowa next to Quatre and Kayla on Dorothy's side. Next came Zech and Noin's daughter Adina, dropping red rose petals. The 3-year-old had her long platinum blond locks were curled and bounced as she walked. Walking alongside her was Val, the 3-year-old son of Sally and Wufei. He held the pillow bearing the rings with such precision it was secretly making his father proud. His crystal blue eyes could be seen through his parted black hair. Everyone stood just as soon as the wedding march stated playing. All eyes stayed on the beautiful bride making her way down the aisle. Her blond hair pulled in a tight bun as long curled tendrils hung from under her glittering diamond tiara. The simplicity of her long sleeved gown heightened the illusion that she was an angel holding a bouquet of long stemmed white roses. Awe and joy could be seen in the eyes of the waiting groom. Tears were coming to his bright eyes as he took the hand of his beloved in his. Dorothy kept her tears of joy back as she gave his hand a loving squeeze.

The entire ceremony was just heavenly. The kiss sealing their marriage was what a kiss should be, long yet sweet. That earned some cheering from the braided pilot up in front. A reception was to be held at a nearby luxury hotel. When everyone started to get up to congratulate the new couple, Heero slipped his hand in Relena's hand. He saw the look of surprise in her eyes and led her to where the bride and groom were without one word. Quickly Quatre spotted them.

"Heero, Relena! I am so glad you came." The groom exclaimed. Heero released Relena's hand and went to shake Quatre's. Relena went over and hugged Dorothy.

"Congratulations. You look absolutely stunning and the ceremony was just beautiful." Relena smiled. " There's also something different about you, but I can't put my finger on it." She said, noting something but not sure as to what.

"My eyebrows," Dorothy said pointing to the now one blond eyebrow over each eye. " I wanted to do something to commemorate this great step I'm taking in life." Dorothy looked over Relena's dress. "You look very beautiful yourself, Ms. Relena."

"Thank you." Relena responded and look to where Heero and Quatre were engaged in conversation. She couldn't help but wonder to the reason for Heero holding her hand earlier. Quatre looked over and smiled at her.

"Good to have you here to share in our joy Ms. Relena. Thank you for coming," he said giving her a little hug, which she returned.

"It's my pleasure to have come," Relena said though her well placed mask. Inside her heart twisted in jealousy, but she would never live with herself if she ever hurt Quatre. When looking him straight in the face she always acknowledged that she really didn't hate everyone, just barley found it tolerable to be around them when they were so happy. These were some of the only people who knew her at one time or another. Yet no one noticed her downfall, at least she thought so. Little did she know that Heero noticed and was planning on changing her life once again.
