"HEY GUYS!" Duo Maxwell bounded into the small living room of the apartment that he and his friends were staying at.
"Shut up, Duo, we're busy" replied an annoyed Heero from the other side of the room.
"But...I was gonna....". Heero paid him no atttention and continued to work on his computer. Since this reaction was expected, Duo was not upset. He decided to try again. "OK guess what everybody!"
"Fine I give up, what?" This came from Trowa who had been sitting quietly reading a book.
"You're really interested?" said a surprized Duo.
"No, but knowing you, you wont shut up until we listen to you". Duo smiled innocently. "Who me? I would never do such a thing" he protested, grinning.
"Does this conversation have a point?" asked Quatre, who was getting kind of bored with the whole thing.
"Yeah!" said Duo. "I just came to show you guys my new game!". Grinning, he pulled out a board game of some sort and displayed it for the others to see. There wasn't much of a reaction. Heero didn't even look up from his computer, Trowa returned to his book, and Quatre just sighed and said "Well jeez, with all that commotion, you coulda at least made it something important!"
"Whaddaya mean!" Duo gasped, "This is MAJORLY important! Jeez you guys need to lighten up a little bit. Anyways before Quatre so RUDELY interrupted, I was going to ask you all to play it with me!"
"Get a life, Duo." Heero said.
"I have a great one!....HEY! What's that supposed to mean?!"
"Hn. You figure it out."
"Come on guys, PLEEEEEEEEAAAAASSSSSEEEEE!" Duo begged.
"NO!" all four of them chorused.
"But why?" Duo whined. By this time, Wufei started to get aggravated.
"Listen, Baka! I have no time for your childish whims! You are acting like a little Kindergartner who wants to play all the time! Now just go away and leave me alone!"
"Now Wufei," Quatre said, "You shouldn't be so mean to Duo. It's not his fault he's brain dead," (Duo: HEY!) "Duo if it means that much to you I will play the stupid..er..I mean the new game with you later ok?"
"Alright, but I was kind of hoping that everyone would play". *Duo guestures to include everyone in the room* After much begging, Trowa couldn't stand it anymore and so he agreed to play just to shut Duo up.
"Come on, Wu-man! Come play my game with us!"
"Don't call me that, Maxwell! And no I already told you that I am not playing your stupid game!".
"PLEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAASSSSSEEEEEE?!" Duo ran over to Wufei and jumped in his lap. "PRETTY PLEASE WU-WU?" By this time, Duo was bouncing up and down in Wufei's lap and Wufei was getting bruises in numerous places. He glared at the hyperactive over-energetic boy.
"GET OFF ME YOU IDIOT AND I WILL PLAY YOUR STUPID GAME!" he yelled finally. Duo grinned.
"YAY! now that leaves only Heero." He turned to Heero.
"Not a chance" said Heero.
"Awww, come on Heero! Everyone else is playing...join the crowd!" Heero turned back to his computer. Hmmm...how am I gonna get Heero to play now? Duo thought. Suddenly, a mischievous grin appeared on his face. "Hey Heero, if you don't wanna play, that's alright. I'm sure I can find someone to take your place, no problem! *winks at Heero* Hey I know! I'll call Relena over! I'm sure she will be more than willing to come over!"
This got Heero's attention. "You...." *Glares at Duo* "...You will regret this" Heero slowly got up from his computer and went over to join the others.
"What? change your mind about playing, Heero?" Duo asked.
"Anything. As long as that Relena maniac stays away from here!"
About 15 minutes later, when everyone is settled, and the game board is set up
Duo bounces into the room with cookies and candy and all kinds of sugar while playing. "OK! Let's get started! I'm goin first!" It turns out that the game is a trivia game, "All right Heero, first question."
"I thought you were going first" Heero drawled.
"I am! I'm going to be the first one to ask you guys the questions!" *all four pilots sigh and shake their heads* "Anyways, first question"
"Duo..." Quatre interrupted, "aren't you supposed to roll the dice or something to determine what type of question you get?"
"Nah! thats the old fashioned way! Takes too long! This is better."
"But...that's not how it's..." Trowa clamped a hand over Quatre's mouth and whispered, "just let him do it his way, it will be over quicker!" Quatre nodded. Duo meanwhile, was bouncing up and down in his seat, eating chocolate (and getting it all over everything in the process) and deciding which question to ask Heero.
"Let's see, let's see...Oh I know! OK Heero, here's your question...What is blue?!"
"Huh......?"
"BUZZ!" *Makes buzzing sounds* "WRONG ANSWER!"
"That wasn't a question!"
"Yes it was!"
"Lemme see the cards"
"Um...NO..because ummm...I'm the one asking the questions! You aren't aloud to see!"
"Duo! That's not even a question on there!"
"IS TOO! You're just a sore loser!" *Sticks tongue out at Heero* "Next question!" *Turns to Quatre* "Let's see..."*flips through deck of cards* "hmmmmmm, hey Quatre, ya wanna play cards?"
"But aren't we playing trivia?"
"BUZZ!!" *Makes buzzing sound with cookies in mouth and spits pieces all over Wufei* "Wrong!"
"Wha? Duo, what are you talking about?"
"Wrong answer! You can't answer a question with another question. Everyone knows that! You lose! NEXT! *Turns in chair to face Trowa* "OK gotta good one....what's the password???"
Trowa: ...
"BING! CORRECT! THE PASWORD IS SILENCE!!!!" *Duo runs around the room jumping up and down* "Hey Trowa, you're pretty good at this game. How come ya didn't wanna play?"
Trowa: ...
"Oh well...and now.." *does drumroll on table* "WU-MAN! YOUR TURN!"
"Oh god," said Wufei. *Duo flips through the cards looking for a good question to ask Wufei*
"Oh Damn! Why can't they have any good questions in this stupid deck!!!"
"Because it's a stupid game" Wufei replied brightly. Duo frowned.
"That wasn't a question!" Duo snapped.
"Yes it was! It was so too a question!"
"Was not! I say so!"
"That's not fair! You're just sayin that because I got it right! INJUSTICE!!!!!" *Wufei proceeded to chase Duo around the room several times* "You...Baka..I'll get you for this injustice!!!" *Duo runs to his seat and grabs some of his snacks and starts throwing them at Wufei*
"Back Wu-wu, back!" *Throws a huge half melted bon-bon and hits Wufei in the face* Humiliated, Wufei sits back down.
"Well" said Duo happily, "we've all had a turn and now I'm gonna announce the winner."
"What about you Duo? You haven't had a turn yet," Quatre said.
"Yah I know, but I was the one callin out the questions. Anyways the winner is....ME!" *Bangs head on table and applaudes wildy for himself*
"Wait a minute," said Heero, "How did YOU win? You didn't even play!"
"Yes I did. I knew all the answers to the questions that you didn't know!"
"That still doesn't mean that you won"
"Yes it does! I knew all the answers! I win! YAY!!!!!!" *Wufei shakes his head and walks off in a huff, still mad because of the injustice. Trowa picks up his book and walks off. Quatre follows Trowa because he has nothing better to do. And Heero goes to his laptop muttering something about "The things I must do to stay away from that maniac" leaving Duo alone with his game*
"Jeez, you would think that they wouldn't be such sore losers." Duo smiled to himself and went to his room. He put the trivia game under his bed and pulled out another game to examine it. "The new 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' game....this should be fun!" Duo went back to the living room to con the rest of the gundam pilots into another game.
