On Ice Technical Training Classes
The following classes are designed to improve technical weaknesses seen in skaters.    All levels of skaters can benefit from these on-ice technical classes.

Each day a ten minute fully instructed on ice class is included in your freeskate membership.

These classes will alternate between
Creative Movement, Technical Turning Edge Control and Power Stroking.

Private lessons cannot be taught during this time.
Creative Movement Class

Skaters will improve their line, body expression, musical interpretation, levels of movement and spacial awareness in the class.  Skaters learn to take technical turning and stroking to another level.

Technical Edge-Turn Exercise Class

Skaters will improve their concentration, centering, control, coordination, posture, balance, knee bend and flow on the ice learning patterns.
Precision of movement addressing proper repetition and body placement will improve a skater's technical consistency.  Maintenance of flow across the ice before and after challenging turns teaching proper body check wil improve spinal rotation, buttocks, stomach, ankle, and foot strength.
Power Stroking Class

Stroking class focuses on a skater's body alignment, speed, power, kneebend, and flow across the ice during skating on flats and edges.  We will address all edges and both directions in forward and backward skating.  Smooth, efficient and powerful crossover technique will be practiced.  Lap skating will challenge the skaters, enabling the athlete to improve their program run-throughts.
