THIRD ANNUAL SPRING SEMINAR  presented by “Covergirl”
             June 12 & 13, 2003

The Durham Region Skating Academy, in the Anniversary of  it’s 6th year, is hosting our third annual Competitive Seminar.  We are bringing in top level coaches, skaters, trainers and officials from across Canada and the United States.

It is our responsibility as coaches, to aid in the continuous development of our skaters.  We can never stop learning, and seminars are a very motivational, fun way for the skaters, coaches, officials etc. to get together and exchange information.  With every new skating opportunity, we learn new tools and information to enhance our coaching and skaters.

For June 12 & 13, 2003, we have, once again, gathered some of the finest in their field to assist us in the development of our athletes.  Over these two event filled days, we will be covering Jump Techniques, Spin Techniques, Stroking (Speed, Power, Edge Control), Presentation, Off-Ice Training, Nutrition, Injury Prevention & Care, Skater Motivation, Mental Preparation, Rule Changes, Judging and more.

New, this year, Josee Chouinard,  Myke Gillman and Tracy Tutton, together with “Covergirl” will be covering “Packaging the Athlete”.  Not only will the skaters and coaches be learning jump and spin techniques, we will also working on how to “pull it all together” - ie: music, theme, choregraphy, costuming, hair, make-up, etiquette etc.

Space will be limited, as we will be keeping our groups quite small.  The earlier we know our numbers for each level of skater, the more specific we can be to everyones needs and the more they’ll get out of the seminar.  To guarantee a place, send your forms in immediately.
