数キロはなれた川からポンプで用水路にくみ上げた水が、実験田まで到達していました。大潮の時期、河川の水面が上がる数日間、このようにくみ上げることが可能になったそうです。これで、水不足の問題はある程度解消されました。乾季も終わりに近づいてきて、降水も時々あるようになっています。
