Barney: Open up to reactor complex so we can get down to safety! Scientist: I'm sorry, but those doors will not open until we send the "all clear". Barney: So send it already! Scientist: I would love to do that, but the area bombardment has made a wreck of my transmitter, the cables are separate, we have to aim it by hand and I'm getting high radiation levels in the transmitter dome. Nobody but a fool would go in there! Barney: What about this guy? Scientist: Yes. You could survive in that suit of yours. Very well! I will lower security on the satellite access elevator. And you can go up into the dome. I'll try to help you over the intercom. Barney: I’ll stay here and guard this area. Scene: Barney has helped you to kill three head-crabs. Barney: Bet you’re glad I’ve got this old sidearm on me, aren’t you? Location: Uplink, Transmitter Dome Scene: Scientist announces himself over the intercom before he opens the door for you. Scientist: Wait a minute and I’ll let you in. Scientist urges you to hurry up and gives you the instruction to manually aim the transmitter. Scientist: Freeman! You want to work quickly. Tune the transmitter to US NRC. I repeat! Tune to the US NRC! If you’ve aimed and turned on the transmitter. Scientist: Excellent! I’m sending the "all clear" and the door should open now. We’ll meet you down below. Scene: Soldiers blow a hole in the roof, attacking you and sliding down, on the ropes. Soldiers: Move in! Scene: A scientist sits dying on the floor in the dark corner of a basement room under the transmitter dome. Scientist: Well! I seem to be seriously wounded. I can’t take much more of this! [Dead sound] Location: Uplink, Again In Lambda Reactor Complex Scene: Barney is shooting three head-crabs and scientist is surprised to see you again. Scientist: Freeman! Who would've thought you'd still be alive. Barney: Hey, Gordon! It can’t get any worse than this, can it? Scene: A scientist with head-crab on the face sits on the floor, scared and obviously blind. Scientist: Is someone there? I.. I can’t see a thing. Location: Uplink, Lambda Reactor Complex, Huge Computer Room Scene: Terrifying Gargantua is killing and burning everybody in the room destroying it’s way through. Scientist is screaming in deadly fear. Scientist: No! I don’t wonna die! Get back! [Screams] Scene: Security guard on the balcony makes a desperate and futile attempt to kill the giant Gargantua, firing his gun and screaming at it. Barney: Hey! Eat this you bastard! Heeey aaah!
