Duties

One of the conditions of his stay in a caer is to aid the Caer in any way he must. This includes operating within a dragon Flight to deal with Ants, Rampage, and rampaging humans. Insert snicker or snork here. But Aodhfin feels that he has an ultimate destiny with his bond whom has not been born yet. So... he waits. What he does in the meantime is moot.

Physical Description

Skin/hide/scales

Aodhfin's hide is clouded with the angry, dark colors of a tumultuous storm near sunset. Greens, yellows, and purples mar an otherwise soft brown background, shot through violently with the yellow-white branches of lightning. The inner wingsails and his tail-spade are cloudy-black, like a cloud of charcoal or thick forestfire smoke. Spikes, spines, and horns peppering his head and neck are silvery.

Eyes

Large and merciless are Aodhfin's eyes. Iris and pupil are black-on-black, vertical slits swimming in stark white.

Physique

Aodhfin is easily the size of an Old World bronze, perhaps even larger. Because of his elusive demeanor it is very difficult to say, though suffice it to say that he is 'very large.' He is built similarly to a Ryslenese dragon with long, wiry limbs including wings and tail. Surprisingly, he is not barrel-chested which is known for such large beasts, though his wings are very wide, allowing him to glide for long distances to make up for any lack in stamina. On the ground he is graceful enough unlike many dragons, which is partly due to his being bipedal.

Appearance

He is your typical dragon with the standard eight appendages: fore- and hind-legs, a pair of wings, one head, and one tail. A pair of non-branching horns spring backward from behind his eyes like an Alskyrian dragon's, but two rows of shorter spikes run the entire length of his neck parallel to his spine.

Personality

Additude

For his entire life Aodhfin has been patient, waiting for his true bond and his higher destiny. He enshrouds himself in silent contemplation for he has no one to talk to, and in darkness both figuratively and fact. Beneath this mysterious exterior one may glimpse a roiling fire. Passion in all of its forms: rage, lust, compassion; Aodhfin's feelings are simply, rarely expressed in their entirety. He feels, for all of his size and power (physical, intellectual), responsible in a detached sort of way, almost godlike. By this feeling, he does not take direct control of a situation he does not like, he simply intervenes when one cannot resolve a problem themselves. For example, if one dragon is being bullied by others, he will swoop in and 'handle it,' and just as quickly leave. In this he rarely uses his power, but also never misues it. He has earned for himself both fear and respect anywhere he has taken up residence.

Hobbies

Aodhfin loves to fly in the center of any storm, be it a minor squall or a powerful thunderstorm. White-hot lightning and booming thunder do not phase him. It has been theorized that his lightning-bold markings are some sort of conductor, or at least allude to his inner talent with the very element (he has never divulged the truth). As a result he has been approached by Dusanese mages about becoming one of their own though he has turned them down every time.

Family

Bond

While at Star City Dragonry, Aodhfin intended only to chase a lovely female, but attended Narafth's clutch out of curiosity (they seemed to have much in common and he had missed her flight already). He left the hatching bay with a bond in the form of a Fire Ridge RysHathian hybrid, the Loden Green-Yellow Kuhsg.
