¤ Name
Hawkfeather.
¤ Nicknames
Hawk (generally by humans), Feathers (by Muddisye), Feather-brains (by dwarves and others that view him as such).
¤ Species/nationality
Narnian winged Horse.
¤ Gender
Male.
¤ Age
3 years.
¤ Duties
Helping local farmers with the harvest, sometimes watching out for his younger sister, and assisting travelers (sometimes traveling as a scout).
¤ Birthplace
Hawkfeather has lived most of his life in the country of Narnia, in the lands between The Great River, Cair Paravel, the Marsh-wiggles' marsh, and Ettinsmoor.
¤ Home
Currently, in the planet Alskyr, on the island of Serpent's Reach.
¤ Physical Description ¤
¤ Mane/tail
Black, rather rugged and scraggly-looking, and only of moderate length due to his young age.
¤ Eyes
Large and brown with a thick fringe of long black eyelashes, they appear and are indeed more bright and intelligent, and certainly more expressive than a normal horse's eyes.
¤ Physique
Still rather long-legged and knobby-kneed, especially due to his stock (that of a charger, heavy work, or light draft horse), Hawk has yet to fill out completely. One day, he will have the thick neck and heavy musculature common to many members of his family.
¤ Appearance
Hawk is, quite simply, a bay equine. He has the classic reddish, chestnut-brown coat so that with his mane, tail, lightly feathered stockings, and wings, all of which are black, he is quite striking to look at.
¤ Personality ¤
¤ Attitude
Hawkfeather is an eager, jolly sort. Like his predecessor Fledge, he is not the smartest apple in the barrel, but he certainly doesn't mind. He has an adventurous streak that when paired with his nearly endless reserve of energy, can leave his peers wheeling and wheezing. He loves to explore and to have fun. He is probably not a good choice in a leader (for he is good at carrying out orders and lending a good ear, but feels uncomfortable telling people what to do), though were he given the task, would shoulder the burden with pride.
¤ Hobbies
Hobbies include traveling, rolling in the grass, playing tag in the clouds, and going to parties on the weekend.
¤ Likes/dislikes
He very much likes cheering people up when they are feeling down, which is probably he befriended the Marsh-wiggle Muddisye in the first place. Not only does she have a particularly gloomy outlook on life, but she is known for her grumpy attitude as well. Muddisye is the ultimate challenge, and not only that, but there is a peculiar bond between them that, when he's said the right thing to lighten her mood, there is this particular twinkle in her eye that makes the effort well worth it. There is only one thing Hawk dislikes: apples. No horse, Talking Horse, nor winged horse can fathom his aversion to apples. He has an awful sweet tooth, and any other fruit he absolutely adores, but apples… "Booo-rehh heh-heh!"
¤ Abilities/talents
An entire branch of his family was bred as draft horses. In that tradition, his elders fully expect that Hawk will be able to carry three or four adult humans without a loss of endurance or strength. Someday. Also, he has an amazing talent at making light of a situation. Invariably he will do or say something humorous that will totally shatter a dark mood. Unfortunately, sometimes did not intend to be the object of one's amusement.
¤ Family ¤
¤ Parents
Hawkfeather's parents, a classy-looking black stallion and a heavily built dark-brown mare, remain at home with other winged horses. Unlike horses of earth, the entire community lives together, not in segregated groups. Hawk and his mother often go out to help local farmers with their crops. No, it is not something they need to do, but it is helpful, and both enjoy it. Hawk's father is often found at Cair Paravel at court. He likes the formal atmosphere.
¤ Siblings
Hawk has several siblings, most of which stay close to home. Hawk's youngest sister is only about six months old, a darling little chestnut filly with a blondish curly tail. Her exuberance rivals Hawk's.
¤ Extended/other
Hawk's eldest brother already has a small family, comprised of his wife and a set of very young twins.
