¤ Name
Muddisye. (pronounced mudd-ee s-eye)
¤ Nickname
Mud, Wiggs.
¤ Species/nationality
Marsh-wiggle.
¤ Gender
female.
¤ Age
young adult.
¤ Duties
Trying to fit in with her society by being cynical, gloomy, and generally not fun to be around, she has taken up the profession of ferryman. Or rather, ferry-wiggle. It can be very lonely sitting around the docks, waiting for travelers to come by, so she can often be found fishing for crawdads and freshwater fish that like the shady shallows.
¤ Birthplace
Near the middle of the Marsh-wiggle swamp in the eastern part of Narnia, sprawling along the coastline.
¤ Home
Since being displaced, her new home is on Serpent's Isle, in another world called Alskyr.
¤ Physical Description ¤
¤ Hair
Muddisye's hair hangs limply between chin and shoulder, in flat, straight locks. It is the color of mildewed grass, and about as lively.
¤ Eyes
Smallish, round, and depthless-grey like storm clouds, Wiggs' eyes usually are turned downward in a stormy frown.
¤ Physique
Tall and gangly, with long features and flat, straw-like hair, she is not much to look at. She seems to be made primarily of right angles, except around her face, which while somewhat narrow, is oval-shaped overall, with a lightly curved, beak-like nose, though "I'd say it juts out at more of a forty-five degree angle, actually," claims Muddisye.
¤ Appearance
Like all of her folk, overall Muddisye looks kind of like a muddy scarecrow, though with her webbed hands and feet, perhaps the words, "fish" or "frog" might also come to mind. Her complexion, rather than fleshy in tone, is a muddy brownish, slightly green color.
¤ Personality ¤
¤ Attitude
One would think that her cynical outlook on life is typical of a Marsh-wiggle, but not so. She is a bit too frolicsome for her peers' tastes, roaming about so much of the time with that ridiculous feathered horse Hawkfeather. Nevermind that he usually drags her around with him, vocally protesting. In general, Muddisye is rather grouchy, as if chronically dragged out of bed in the morning altogether too soon. Her frown and crossed arms often deter friendly strangers, and remind others of a petulant child. It is merely her strong efforts to be suitably gloomy for her fellow Marsh-wiggles' tastes. What Hawkfeather knows and she won't admit is that oftentimes curiosity often rivals the winged Horse's, and her outlook open-minded. But she is always sure to complain.
¤ Hobbies
Making lures, organizing her tackle box, and cooking are among Muddisye's most obvious hobbies. Less obvious ones include brushing and tying up Hawkfeather's mane and tail (he especially likes to have hawk feathers braided into his mane).
¤ Likes/dislikes
Muddisye enjoys the peaceful quiet of fishing out on the marsh (though she works upstream, along the river). Listening to the infrequent trickle and splash of water, wind blowing through the marsh grass, and the mewling of sea birds is very relaxing for her. If anyone is nearby, she is sure to grumble about the water's chilly temperature, or vocally wish the eels were biting, or something of that nature.
¤ Abilities
At first glance, Muddisye would seem clumsy and ungainly, but she is surprisingly sure-footed. She makes an excellent scout, and will oftentimes lead the way on an expedition with Hawkfeather. Only on especially uneven terrain can she not keep up with his flight.
¤ Family ¤
¤ Parents
Both of Muddisye's Marsh-wiggle parents are professional gloomy sorts. They aren't quite sure where they went wrong with their daughter, but don't complain too loudly about her. Her mother points out that Muddisye's father was once as unorthodox, at which he replies with several "harrumphs" and mutters. They share a wigwam within eyesight of Muddisye's, though not close enough to encroach on anyone's privacy.
¤ Siblings
None.
